How come my skin looks like a prune after microneedling HA? It looks horrible, like it sucked all the water out of my skin. My skin looks a good 30 years older after. I’m using the brand that you recommended (Baha). I don’t understand what’s happening. Eventually, my skin returns to it’s normal state, but I’m pretty horrified for a couple of days, vowing to never microneedle with HA again. What else can I use? Thanks ❤

Hi , I have been following your regime for about a year religiously and had great results....I always use the ha serum you recommend with needling. Something happened the last time I needled , my skin became very dry and parched. Im not sure what happened but it hasn't been the same since. It's lost its glow and I seem to of acquired fine lines under my eyes and side of nose . I'm wondering if maybe there's a different serum I can use for needling?? A better one? And can you recommend a great moisturizer as well. Please help!😢

Do you have to stop retin a in the days before nano needling. Is banisher nano needling?

🤦‍♀️ phenoxyethanol is safe and non-irritating to the vast majority of people. Especially in the very low percentages it’s used in skincare (1% or less). There are decades of studies that show that it’s safe. Just don’t eat or breath a bunch of it. The dose makes the poison . Water can harm you if breathed or even if too much is consumed. So tired of the misinformation, because it leads people to products they think are safer, and many times they’re not! There could be less data on a newer preservative, a natural preservative might need to be used at such a high percentage that it becomes legitimately irritating, a natural preservative is used that doesn’t work reliably then introduces contaminants to the skin, or in some cases an ingredient supplier will flat out lie about their preservative being natural when it actually contains a known harmful ingredient - kathon was found in a popular coconut based preservative being sold to formulators as a 100% natural preservative.

What about using human growth serums when microneedling? That’s what was recommended to me.

Hey Penn! I was wondering why you are suggesting to include copper peptides only at day 6? Why can't we use them from day 1? They help with healing and are not exfoliating. Or is it because they are anti inflammatory and we should keep the Inflammation so that our body keeps thinking it needs to produce more collagen? :) thank you!

Thank you so much for all the time you put into making all these recommendations - I've been binge watching all your microneedling videos recently! I ordered the cos de baha HA after watching one of your other videos but having just seen this one, I'm a little worried about the lack of preservative system in this product. I know 1,2-hexanediol can boost the effectiveness of preservatives but there's nothing else in the formulation to boost! I totally agree it's important that anything going into the skin has to be safe, but using something that doesn't appear to be properly preserved (unless they simply haven't listed the preservatives) seems quite risky! I also know there are strategies for minimising the risk of microbial growth - one of the main ones being reducing the free water content, but that's the first ingredient in this formulation. Is this perhaps something you've discussed with the brand?

Thank you so much Penn, again ♥. Would you recommend applying argan oil, bakuchiol as topicals after microneedling? If yes, from which day? I'm sure it would be the safest to follow your protocol, but unfortunately it's quite challenging to get kiwi oil for example, in Central Europe. The HA and the green tea toner recommended are with me already, but I'm not sure it' would be enough. On the other hand e.g. glycerin, benzyl alcohol are quite common is serums here, which you say, should be avoided. Does it look better, if these ingredients are at the bottom of the inci list, or not? Thanks

how about not using any serum at all? it seems that you mostly use it for glide? not fond of the idea of "glide" because if you just drag it across the skin i think it creates "scratches" or tearing, i mean how can it not if you DRAG the pen while it's also going down into the skin. I think stamping would be much preferred, yes more time consuming maybe but it's not like you're gonna do this daily.

Wondering, you didn't let us know what size of needle as well for this. You need to let us know what is the protocol for what size of needling your referencing too. I've seen so many of your videos but I'm a little confused now because you didn't specify which size needle for this video.

I got a big bottle of the Cos de baha hyaluronic acid you recommended and used it during and after microneedling and it was flaking up so much after it dried. Super messy. Am I doing something wrong or a bad batch? None of my other hyaluronic acids have done that.

Couple of questions. I have ordered and received my Dr. Pen A6 ... I originally ordered it to help with my hair thinning, but have since thought that I have it and should use it on my face too! I want to try the EGF but am not ready to invest in the LeMeiux ... what do you think about the Kate Ryan EGF Skin Rejuvenation Serum. Also I have been using The Ordinary Copper Peptide serum for a while now ... do you know how that compares to the one by Pro Skin Care? The price on the Pro Skin is definitely better than The Ordinary.

One thing that worried me about that hexanediol in the hyaluronic acid was it says, " This material can cause eye irritation and damage in some persons.

• Skin contact is not thought to have harmful health effects, however the material may still produce health damage following entry through
wounds, lesions or abrasions.

• Most liquid alcohols appear to act as primary skin irritants in humans. Significant percutaneous absorption occurs in rabbits but not
apparently in man.
• Open cuts, abraded or irritated skin should not be exposed to this material.
• Entry into the blood-stream, through, for example, cuts, abrasions or lesions, may produce systemic injury with harmful effects. Examine the
skin prior to the use of the material and ensure that any external damage is suitably protected."

Where it says it can cause damage if entered through abrasions. Well we are creating abrasions when we microneedle so what damage are they saying is going to happen?

Has anyone else experienced irritation or an allergic reaction after using the Cos De Baha Hyaluronic Acid Serum? I had irritation not only on my face but also all over my body. Is this a normal reaction? I'd love to hear if anyone has had a similar experience. Also, Is The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum safe to use during microneedling?
