Why do you need to use new...does the cat[2] declaration assign 3 new values...what does that line mean

Thank you very much. I had been programming for over 7 years without using the debug mode. Even after all tge experience, I always learn something new from your videos.

Hello! I have a question, is there anyway to step backwards while debugging? In other words, is it possible to do a 'step over' action?

Now try to debug a java program consisting of ONE chained statement using stream api methods. At my company it seems like variables collecting partial results on different lines / separate statements come at a premium cost so asssh0les are chaining the shit out of java statements. Completely non-understandable and impossible to debug. When you have to debug code made by others you STILL have to split the code up into saparate function calls to find out what is supposed to happen and why the code fails. Having "temporary" variables with meaningful names makes the life for other programmers 100 times easier.

I downloaded the 2023 version of Eclipse (I had a 2020 version), and I am having to look up questions every step of the way on this. Questions: 1. Is there a setting that allows you to see "all of the variables" as in this video? I have to highlight each variable, R click, and use "Watch" to get them on the tab. 2. Step-over buttons I have yet to find....I did locate them, but only after running debug the first time (which populated a long run on the left side menu for threads??) which is when they will actually show up .3. The stop button is in a different place, bottom right above the console (again, probably until you actually run debug and then another icon shows there). I'd love to see this video as a "from scratch setup" to get a larger toolbar and the same features you are showing...
