A-10 Demo Gator Narrates

Another Awesome vid, those guys really have to fly the A10’s, considering they don’t have abundance of power, they fly them like they do. ♥️♥️

Why do the ground crew walk around like that? Just curious obviously an American thing. .. apart from that great stuff..

I like to see an A - 10 up close on this show while flying by.

Years ago right after the Gulf War there was a Warthog flying at the Oceana NAS airshow sporting a temporary patch panel on one of it's wings. It had collected a SAM, which punched all the way through the wing without detonating. A temporary patch was slapped on it; it finished it's duty and came home that way.

Awesome video! Man, did he ever have to dodge those birds after the dedication pass.

...I've seen A-10 demos at airshows but to watch it from the pilot's POV is something else. .

As others mentioned not everyone sees all the steps that go behind each such flight. Everything still has to be done by the book to ensure maximum amount safety so the audience can sit back and enjoy the show.

The Thunderbolt is the aircraft par excellence for the destruction of bunkers, shelters, transport equipment and battle tanks, its GAU-8 cannon in the nose is deadly, and it can also carry a wide variety of weapons, including Sidewinder missiles for shoot-down of helicopters etc, its overflight capacity is impressive.

When I used to watch the A10 demos out of Bentwaters and Woodbridge some 30 plus years ago I could never have dreamed back then of seeing this kind of in cockpit footage we almost take for granted now.
Incidentally, both of the jets featured in this video were serving in the 81st TFW 30 plus years ago and I remember seeing them both . 181 was the Wing CC jet for a time at Bentwaters and 962 was with the 91st TFS ‘Blue Streaks’ out of nearby Woodbridge.
