You can also click a note and hold shift to copy and paste a pattern
ОтветитьThank you. 👍
Ответитьmy brain is gonna explode
Ответитьi did not know sidechaining was possible this way, you have completelly changed the way i use lmms now thank you
ОтветитьPitch bend automation does not work on the Opulenz 2xOsc Synth. There is also glitchiness with VSTs and external plugins. I am in the process of compiling a list of plugins and VSTs that interface well with LMMS. I’ve been using it for over a decade and I’m still learning new shit. Once you get up the fairly steep learning curve, it begins to become much more intuitive.
Once you learn global automation and side-chaining, your sound will get to a whole new level. After using FL and Acid for many years, I can confidently say that LMMS is on par with both, save for a few limited features. The biggest one being no onboard recording capability in the recent LMMS builds. That’s not a problem though; I just record into audacity, then import it into LMMS via sample track.
so is there any modularity to these blocks?
Like editing one block and it'll automatically apply to all identical blocks on the track?
Thanks for this video
ОтветитьIn terms of filter, I prefer the calf filter. It offers more controls over how your filter can behave and how it sounds
And as for sidechaining, there is another way I do it. It's more manual, but it offers so much more controllability. You use the 3xOsc, make the drum pattern in 1/16, throw peak controller on there, mute effect, play with knobs, and then like in the video, you connect sidechain controllers to that.
quick question , is it doable to merge 2 different projects together?
ОтветитьSeriously every time I want to get into lmms I mess around for about an hour, then watch some tutorials and get overwelmed by all the options effects etc. and turn off the PC lol. I just can't seem to get into it.
ОтветитьHonestly expected to know most of the things in here but turns out I still had a lot to learn.
ОтветитьThe Best video what I ´ve seen of LMMS,Amazing !!!! My Best Like for you.
I´m suscribe.
Thanks for showing how to dupe entire sections of a track, been using LMMS for years and somehow didn't know this. 😅
ОтветитьI know nobody is probably gonna see this and this vid came out a while, but I'd just like to let you know about another way you can sidechain. There is an effect you can add called sidechain compressor, and you just need to link a peak controller to the S/C level, you also would need to put the base effect at zero. from there you can adjust all sorts of parameters and I just think this way gives you a bit more control.
Ответитьhow to tapestop on lmms
ОтветитьHow to connect your Head phones or ear phones in lmms
Ответить@MacoTheProducer
What is it that LMMS is missing (disregard sound-recording, we know that :) of tools , that you find in f.i. Abbleton?
That would be interesting to know in the continued development of LMMS.
One thing i dare say we in LMMS do better than the commercial DAWs is to listen to our users :p, and actually implement new features that are being asked for, by the users .
thank you for this video!
ОтветитьProduction quality of someone with 500k subs wow
ОтветитьI actually started using LMMS for nearly two years now (this was during the peak of Covid during 2020) when I got my Laptop. Despite watching various tutorials, I never knew about the sidechains and 2x2 Plate/EQ. Keep it up.
ОтветитьI got bamboozled in ZynAddSubFX when I tried to make something up and then I realised I don't know what most of the knobs and buttons do lol
Was a bit confused with Vital too, Helm is another one
Is there a video about how to work with those?
What damping does on reverb is gets rid of higher frequencies. High dampening means the high frequencies will end faster. I think the Bandwidth actually changes the frequency spectrum the reverb effects, it's not the same as a mix or Dry/Wet knob.. And blend is the same as Mix or Wet.
And yeah, tail is how long the reverb lasts.
I love that you explain things and show them. I'm so new to this all and everyone just says "this effects this" and moves on and doesn't explain what it means. You are very helpful! thank you!
ОтветитьCan you pls tell me how to open kontakt in lmms, iam unable to open it.

ОтветитьJust tried to set up lmms with printed instructions by my side...but as I proceeded to the first instruction ...I was confounded as I COULDNT READ THE FONT’ CUZ IT WAS MICROSCOPIC!!!
How are you guys able to READ THE FONT!????

ОтветитьHello : do you know the way to use BLUEARP vst inside a track of LMMS ? I searched, but I didn't succeed...
Ответитьlmms needs to take lessons from fl studio and ableton and add better sample integration
ОтветитьNice job man.

ОтветитьIf possible then make one trap beat in lmms
ОтветитьHello! I don't use LMMS (I don't do music actually), but your video was top notch nonetheless. Just a thought, I found that the background music was a tad too loud at times, but maybe that's just me, and anyway your video was still top notch. Kudos, and thank you!
ОтветитьDear Malachi Corliss
Hi, My name is Sean Q Kim, and I'm trying to get started w/LMMS. I really liked this video of yours, it really helped me a lot! (4 minutes ago I didn't even know what Sidechain was and looking back at it now..) Anyway, I have to ask you... while I'm practicing, can I use the notes that you built up in this video? Just to.. mess about with it, and practice some of my skills? Please check this comment..

Lmms Copy that FL studio 😂
Ответить¡Que pelazo!
ОтветитьABLETON has better tools. and a waaaay better workflow. but hell, LMMS is free, and so is linux, and so was this laptop i have both on!! gonna pay for reaper though, it's pretty awesome, i have it wrangled to work like abletonbut it took many hours to make the templates. see, i have carpal tunnel syndrome so clicking is like murder to me... trying to avoid that. way too much clicking needed in LMMS. i don't even use a mouse, i have a logitech wireless trackpad, but i'm old and it still kills me to click stuff. a word of warning to you youngsters. ABANDON THE MOUSE. SWITCH TO A TRACKPAD. CLICKING WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU GET TO MY AGE (CLOSE TO 60)
Ответитьi used ableton and loved it until my PC died. i fix computers but the mobo died and i've been broke since the pandemic began. i use Linux on a flash drive on an old PC with a dead hard drive. LMMS helps, the only distro i could get to run was MX linux, and it's not even persistent. LMMS can host most of my fav VSTs in WinE, but i find the workflow a NIGHTMARE. Reaper works GREAT but this finicky antix distro won't load dlls so i have to use .so vst instruments. i wrangled my reaper so it's a lot like ableton, but i took some acid tonight hoping to make better friends with LMMS and i stumbled across your video. i made this comment before i watched...
ОтветитьI never knew you could pitch bend like that! Thank you!
