G Adventures Vs Intrepid Travel - which adventure tour company is best?

I don’t care about supporting worldwide countries honestly. I am a frugal traveler and taking a lot of time to save up for traveling. I probably stay away from the companies which use our money to generously give away to foreign countries. In my minds, when I travel to a country, I already helped out its economy by eating at restaurants, staying in hotels, giving tips to services, drivers, local guides, tour leaders and so forth.

G Adventures has its regional offices in the countries you visit. G Adventures SUV take you to the tourist attractions on the itineraries.

So G adventures is the clear winner

I was so sad thinking I had to go travel the world alone but now I’m stoked for these groups!!! Wahoo!!!

I had G Adventures for my Peru last 2019. Cant complain...However this after pandemic it seems to me both are overpriced...

Love your informative review. I had actually never heard of G Adventures. I came here to just learn about Intrepid, but based on this review it would seem that G Adventures wins out against Intrepid in the majority of the categories. Thank you.

I am so excited to find out about these two companies. I have always wanted to travel and especially like guided tours. I have bad legs. I can walk but need to sit often or even take a motorized wheelchair if walking a lot for multiple days. I understand I couldn't do all trips but are there trips you've taken that you've seen somebody in a wheelchair? If so, how annoying was it for the other people in the tour? I would not want to inhibit other's joy. Would you recommend one company over the other when it comes to meeting special needs?

I wanted to go on a G Adventure trip but apparently I was too old for your I wanted to do. They offered a similar tour but it cost about £1000 more. Definitely won’t be booking with them at that extra cost.

I just did my first SOLO group trip with EF GoAhead Tours to Venice, Florene and Rome and had the BEST time of my life! I even extended my trip an extra 2 days to visit the Amalfi Coast (Positano) on my own, after my group members departed. I would also highly advise checking their Solo Tours out as there is no supplement charge for their solo tours. Good amount of balanced time with the group as well as free time. I would also check them out. But I may look into doing my next trip with G Adventures or Intrepid as EF GoAhead doesn't currently have any solo trips that I'm interested in.

Both of them don't answer their damn phone or emails....just sayin...

g adventures are age restricted ie 18 to 30 bollocks

Anyone any idea which is best for families? We're hoping to go with my husband and 11 year old son to Morocco in December. Average temperature about 18 degrees, which is fine by us.

Does G Adventures have an options to have your own room? I'm not a roommate type person

Thanks for the tips! I am planning a trip to Turkey this summer. I usually plan everything myself but this year I decided I want to find it all organized. However, I need to have the free time to read, go out at night for drinks, and take my moments. I saw the trip suggested by Intrepid and Lonely Planet: Turkey uncovered. Do you think I will like it?
