😎newguy here
ОтветитьThe majority of new PDR Guys fail, and most of the Ones that stay with it don't become proficient at large dents.
Ответить🤔I never saw a cave man do pdr or read it in the Bible, just how did the fist humans learn pdr... Oh they thought them selfs, true dent savant's for normies or if you don't have the time to devot your life to it there's these guys!
ОтветитьWas gunna watcj til you fucking beeped
ОтветитьI’ve got an old truck with badly faded and flat paint. Is it a bad idea to glue pull the inaccessible areas that are hail damaged?
ОтветитьGreat video....$ 65 a month to go to school...?
I get that much in empty beer cans each month....totally worth it !
Name me one technical or trade school you can go to for 65 a month !
I am retired and this would make a great hobby.....imagine the money I can make fixing up dents on farm equipment !...LOL..Just joking !
Get a panel from junk yard and have at it.
ОтветитьYou´re the kind of boss I more than happily be fired by for pissing on him, again. :))
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьWow I learned absolutely nothing.
ОтветитьI started doing P.D.R and I check off all of this list lol
ОтветитьThis was fun
I've been learning and practicing PDR for twelve days now and it's going pretty well. But yesterday I did get frustrated trying to repair a large creased dent. Decided to walk away from it before I messed it up too badly. Will be watching all these videos and come up with a plan of attack.
I watched 2 videos and attacked the panel on my car making it far worse within 5 minutes..being stubborn sucks...it took me over 3 months of watching training videos to get the panel back to resembling the way it was before touching it. Harder than
It looks lol 😂😊
😂
ОтветитьMy advice to anyone who has a go at PDR is practice on your car and when
Ответитьi just pulled out like 10 little dents from hail damage on my pickup... it looks so much better. I used a hot glue gun and some ramdom items laying around the house like a bottle cap to pull the dents out. Its not something i would do on a luxury car but in my personal opinion its going to be difficult to screw anying up worst with the glue PDR method. Unless the paint comes with it but that shouldnt happen unless the paint is already compromised or its a shit paint job
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 when you grabbed him from glue pulling
ОтветитьMy wife's car was recently damaged by hail and I shortly thought about trying it myself which is why I am here. #5 applies directly to me. 😀
ОтветитьYea you will need 10 studying
Ответить😅 i tried taking 2 dents on my firebird... What was a dent is now Tommy's head from Rugrats
Ответить😅😅😅😅😅 spoken as true company loosing business because people are tired of being stolen from.
ОтветитьBest way to do PDR practice On your own car first place when you get good then work then work on a family car then go from there
ОтветитьYou're so stupid if you think you can do this without buying our course..
ОтветитьI think attempting DIY pdr ( with assistaed learning) as a small niche has its place vs proper PDR. I have no problem at paying for my PDR repairs and extremely happy with results from pros and will continue.
In some lesser damage situations on with more simple ( round ) repairs I've had success also with basic damage, this is on what people would call "shed car" territory and I did one on a car with a tennis ball sized dent but the car was getting to be worth only a thou ( a 1.9 Tdi vRS).
I think in that situation as a noob helps as you mentioned being able to push from behind (with moedaration) rather than pull with glue sticks.
A lot of people do inappropriate force, making worse damage perhaps than was there before lol the golf ball effect. I saw the mess brother in law did on a tail gate like that. I won't ever do that.
I've been told my wifes car is beyond PDR ( despite cosmetically not really that bad in laymans terms, it just pisses me off that it was 2019 car and cost me a lot to buy it nearly new) but just too many creases and dents overall. A supermarket special.
I'm told it would take convential garage time which would probably end up taking even more paint off etc and probably cost me at least a thou. Ain't going to happen.
I'm interested to maybe use hers as a long term learning vehicle to try to understand some success in PDR....after all, what is she going to do, likely just add YET another dent at some point, crease or mark in it :D? The only completely undamaged panels so far really are the front wings ( one of those I replaced myself with a pattern part lol ) the bonnet, the roof, and the tailgate.
I couldn't possibly make it worse - but also I know my limitations.
Whilst I have 2 much much smaller dents on my own expensive personal fast car and super happy to get to my PDR guy to just fix them.
I've been trying and trying to book PDR with my preferred guy but difficult to get his valued time but will eventually if I perservere and probably get time off.
Been about 15 years ago but I worked for a car manufacturer and did a few weeks of pdr training, I really enjoyed it, and got pretty good at it, did it quite often on the job after, but the plant closed I moved on, I would like to just try and fix dents on my own junk for the old time sake lol, can you recommend a decent kit to buy?
ОтветитьYikes $65 a month. I will keep practicing on my own. I have fixed 100s of dents so far. I definitely don't get it done very fast but the end result is the same dents are gone.
ОтветитьDamn Chris I feel for ya... you know what I mean
ОтветитьOh good, another sales pitch poorly disguised as a tutorial.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьWhat state are you in
Ответитьtip number 5, buy my shit.
ОтветитьI laughed watching this because 99 out of a 100 need the training. I, for one, just pulled out a 3 ft long 4 inch high multiple sections dent with a crease and buffed it to perfection. Took me 10 hours total. I was hired to do the bodywork and paint and decided to try pdr for the "first time." Used 2x4s to pull dents before. Bought a 200 dollar Amazon kit and had to modify the tab puller with some billet additions on my bridgeport because you get what you pay for, lol. Last note, I've been polishing stainless trim and doing paint work for half my life. I'm a newbie, but really not. Just another skill to master I look at it as.
ОтветитьI have never done this before, looks easy so I’ll probably just buy a bunch of tools and start doing side jobs soon.
ОтветитьI am an old school metal finisher. I really think I can do this with some refinement on my technique. A lot of it is the same, just done with cooler tools.
ОтветитьDisagree with #3 but agree with the rest…I’d substitute #3 with only working the dent from one angle and thinking they’re done.
Ответить“Sorry DIY guys”. I imagine you hired a director and a camera crew to make this video and DIY because it is quite similar and less expensive
ОтветитьIf I subscribe to your channel and enroll in your training, how long until I can tell people I'm a professional!
ОтветитьAre u guys located in ny?
ОтветитьWatching some really experience guys doing it, then seeing some not so experienced... The object is to get the dent out not to make it almost not noticeable. This video is what I mostly previously learned by watching them f things up, but I like that this completes my tutorial...
ОтветитьAfter "NO" you were suppose to rub his nose on the dent.......
ОтветитьNo im still gonna diy
ОтветитьMinus the sales pitches, this was a funny ass video! lol
ОтветитьThis shit was funny 🤣
ОтветитьThis new Automated PDr technology is going to drive prices so far down
ОтветитьIntro is hilarious.
ОтветитьImmediate sub for this! Freaking great video
ОтветитьWow! Working for you could be hazardous to my health! Lol
