Si no queréis los mecánicos os doy mi dirección y me los enviáis, la de chollazos q se encuentran por walla de bicis de puentes y mecánicos… jajaaaja apollardaos!!!
ОтветитьSo… the mechanical one was to cheap and robust?
ОтветитьI have both in Ultegra and they are both excellent. Think I personally prefer mechanical as it feels more engaging when shifting. Shame they don’t give the option in Ultegra/Dura Ace anymore.
ОтветитьI like old school ❤
Ответитьi'm still using 5800 shifters, am i old already😅
ОтветитьIts not even the same series… great. Why not a 105 from the 00’s then, to make it even more infair…?! 😅
ОтветитьNah, we need pinion gearbox to be mainstream but it's sooo expensive
Ответитьwhat do you do when battery dies
ОтветитьThat oldscool is not Oldscool , my Shimano 105 have the levers on the downtube still 😂
ОтветитьClean yo chain ;)
ОтветитьOld school doesnt need extra money.
ОтветитьWhat do you mean with oldschool, i just bought the mechanical brifter yesterday and now it is oldschool ? 😢😢
ОтветитьIt’s expensive vs cheap
ОтветитьIm sure electric gearing is way more comfortable, but the fact i have to charge my bicycle is crazy
ОтветитьMy 105 12 speed mechanical is very smooth for gear transition n brake than 11 speed. I love it😍🙏
ОтветитьJeeeez more things to charge
ОтветитьIf that is old school then my bike is ancient😭😂
ОтветитьI have both mechanical 105 11 speed and Ultegra DI2 12 speed . Both are fine. There really is no need to go more expensive than 105 mechanical 11 speed. With a freshly waxed chain, they both shift like butter.
ОтветитьPeople call that old school, my old bike had shifters on the down tube
ОтветитьWhat happens when it dies
ОтветитьI ve got ultegra mecca. Keep your thing out.
ОтветитьHahah! I’m still using downtube shifters. To me, index shifting on the brake levers is new school.
ОтветитьAs a person who never forgets to charge/change battery I probably have 300 IQ and photographic memory according to electronic shifting haters
ОтветитьMake mechanical shifting great again! Electronic shifting sux......
ОтветитьOne day someone’s gonna be riding a 100% electric bike, electric shifters and brakes, suspension, lights and everything, and when the bike dies, because everything is electric, what happens?
Say you’re far away from home or the car, and your bike dies, no regenerative breaking, no way to charge on the go. So obviously you could slow the bike down simply by steer controlling the bike to a stop, but not only do you have no brakes, but no gears, no suspension, likely no lights, so if you don’t have a backup option / battery, you’re SOL. Whereas mechanical shifters and brakes, (so long as properly maintained and even when not properly maintained to a certain extent) will imo forever outperform something that will likely shut down or simply fail (resulting in a costly replacement) in even a little too much rain.
New school (though old technology) is a belt drive system paired with a gearbox, it is mostly sealed from elements, tried and true (I mean they work for cars) and nearly infinitely more durable and reliable in most cases…maybe that’s exaggerated, but I mean come on, other than the price of a gearbox setup, it baffles me how we have not yet come to the realization of how much better belt drives are to chain drives. Thats why I say infinitely better, less maintenance, less moving parts, less hassle and stressing about oiling the chain and watching for chain stretch, more fun riding.
Plus the longevity alone of a belt system will forever be superior imo, the maybe 10000km you get on a chain is usually only when ridden in perfect conditions and properly maintained (cleaned after each ride) otherwise you can expect anywhere from 4-6000km per chain, although some who really take care of their chains, have reported around 20000km per chain. whereas a belt drive can get dirty and dusty and only when super dirty or improperly tensioned, will it slip and stop working, also the 100,000km reported by some users of belt drive systems proves a literal tenfold increase of durability / longevity.
No hate, no argument here, just sharing my opinion / experience.
Bike hacks got a new meaning since wireless systems emerged.
ОтветитьPicked up a Domane with the mechanical 12 spd 105 5 months ago. Beautiful groupset. Very happy. Super smooth.
ОтветитьNew school = marketing
ОтветитьI Love old/middle school….. Never has been a need for electronic shifting
ОтветитьNecro post.. Is wiggle even still about?
ОтветитьMechanical is bettttteerrr
ОтветитьBuy local, support those who support you.
ОтветитьManual all day every day.
ОтветитьPublic vs private school tuition
ОтветитьMechanical all the way
ОтветитьMy 40 year old bianchi with downtube shifters will still shift perfect 40 years from now. Will we be able to say that about any of these electronic gadgets?
Ответитьpara mim o grupo eletrônico serve apenas para o bobo comprar, esperto é o vendedor que fica feliz com o bobo que compra! não muda nada, SOU CICLISTA.
ОтветитьMechanical is greener
ОтветитьLove the sound of the mechanical version
ОтветитьI choose to be straight and use mechanical😂
ОтветитьWhat do you mean old school 😭😭😭
ОтветитьDi2 is actually more $$$ than a use auto transmission. Same concept
ОтветитьI haven’t had to charge my shifter since 2010.
ОтветитьAnd when the battery dies???? 😂
ОтветитьSo i have old old school
ОтветитьTime have stop for ME, OLD SCHOOL ALL THE WAY
ОтветитьBut the real old school is the switch on a frame...
ОтветитьDon’t get me wrong. I come from the old school but this way I make bikes nowadays it’s pretty cool.
ОтветитьOld school all day
Ответитьi use 8 speed non-claris sti shifter on bianchi brava. it works fantastic. Mech groupset is working on 2100 i guess but electronics maybe 8 -10 year.
