i'm sorry but i'm a bit confused because i've seen the other silent hill games how on earth are they all related to the first silent hill game with Harry because he's dead in the first one?

this game not only is creepy especially the scream jumpscare at the beginning yet the game is hard(even on easy difficulty) and the puzzle is complex.

This game is too accurate to my actual nightmares... going into tunnels in multiple different locations. And i never played SH 4, only 2. So thats extra creepy lol.

The second half of this game is so ass. What the hell possessed them to just make you do all the levels again but with an escort this time? The escort thing would be more acceptable if they put in more levels but nah they got real fuckin lazy. Also fuck the water prison

I love how silent hill 2, the newspaper found by james talking about walter and his victims,plus "the red devil". It gave simple little hints of whats to come. 2 me that was awesome when i was younger playing this and thinking back! And still is!

I think the use of firearms in this game couldve been implemented better. Instead of having one slot take up a mere one box of ammo, have one slot take up 2 boxes instead (ie have 20 bullets per slot). If you have 50 bullets, that's 3 slots instead of friggin taking up a huge 5 slots, which is over half your inventory. That way, you can still rely on your firearm instead of almost always using melee weapons, even though the player here actually uses firearms

In retrospective, the main idea behind the thing and the settling was probably the best thing about this game, the soundtrack is also top quality. Some things were really poor design choices, sound effect quality is the same as in the ps1 game and I'm sure they even reused some of them here and there. Eileen's only weapons are really stupid, a purse, a "riding crop", wtf were they thinking? the first ever weapon is literally a bent piece of rebar LOOL, there's no "atmosphere" soundtrack most of the time, the burping sound the monsters at the hospital make, and how they go burping down the stairs, that was literally hilarious. This game felt very cheap to play on the ps2, specially considering the same publisher released metal gear 3 like 4 months later, I can see why this was the last game made by team silent

Cant believe this game came out 19 years ago.
To put things in perspective, a game that came out 19 years previous to silent hill the room was the original super mario brothers 😮

Man i wish i didnt get rid of my copy of it now i cant find itnfor more than 70$
