Another city I suggest you check out is novi sad and nis. I grew up in nis until I was 18 and had the time of my life. Nis is great for it's history. I now live in novi sad and that city is similar to Belgrade. It is amazing, nice restaurants and night life!

Belgrade is without a doubt the worst place in Serbia. The rest of the nation is way better. If this was 1935 then i would say Belgrade is good.

I am Greek and married to a very beautiful Serbian woman, and i can say that i haven't regret it not for a milisecond!
As for Srbija all i can say is my second homeland.
I admire the Serbian people because they are ultra friendly, they NEVER let you down and they are always there in good times but mostly in grave need!
I wouldn't change Serbia for anything in the world!
If i was to reborn, i would beg God to bring me to life as a Serb!
In fact i got by marriage a Serbian last name too and boy oh boy, am i fucking PROUD of it!!!

I remember my summer holidays in Yugoslavia 1972-75! Belgrade was the impressive capital of a multi-ethnic country with access to the sea. By some GDP and other economic measures, Yugoslavia was at times more prosperous than poorer capitalist European countries like Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Greece. Unfortunately, Yugoslavia messed up with its economy and took loans from the World Bank and the IMF. What happened then, everybody knows! Nowadays, Belgrade looks impoverished and run down, due to its state as a small, landlocked country, due to the bombings, and due to European sanctions. What a tragedy! 😥
