Not very practical, it takes for ever to see what time it is.

Syncinc the slideshow with a clock ticking sound may seem so small but I feel like it adds so much and makes it satisfying to watch

Not sure why the number one has to be so awkward. Could've just been several bubbles in a row in the two middle lanes next to each other and actually looked like a one.

You could try different liquids with different viscosities to adjust the speed, or try oil drops released into water; oil will float up, and you can then use a pump or chute to skim the oil off the top back to the bottom. You could also try tubes that are diagonal so that the bubbles travel in different directions, and layer the tubes in front of each other, this way you might be able to eliminate the double pulses of air that disrupts the positions of previous bubbles. The number 2's look the best, but number 1 being slanted looks a bit weird, I think it should be vertical, otherwise make all of them slanted.

I don't think you'll ever be able to perfectly control the bubbles. While a cool idea, the alignment is not correct. What about bigger tubes and fill it up with oil? Oil is viscous and makes the bubbles rise more slowly and maybe more accurately. With minimum timing sync you may get nicely formed images.
