I'm not sure exactly what makes Mitch Gallagher the best but he really is the GOAT 🐐
ОтветитьA fantastic video! How close is creating an IR of an instrument? I have a mandolin and an acoustic that I have tried making IRs of with little success. IR was created with a special (deconvolver?) reverb plugin, but I’m having trouble getting it to sound good.
Ответить🔥 Another good one
ОтветитьExcellent presentation Mitch! Thanks for the good info. 👍🏽
ОтветитьGreat educational lesson. I am always impressed by Mitch's knowledge and ability to inform. Thanks!
ОтветитьThanks, Mitch!
ОтветитьThis was extremely helpful. Thanks for sharing that information.
ОтветитьCan you do one on how to make an IR with pedals? I want to get irs from my reverb pedal
ОтветитьMitch is an encyclopedia. :)
ОтветитьWow, this was a fabulous tutorial. Im a hardware guy. Real amps and cabs always and been a snob about it. Never believed in IR’s or other digital stuff but I need to get on board with it. Thanks Mitch
ОтветитьI should be able to do this with an existing IR in my DAW by just recording the white noise through the existing IR to another track ?
ОтветитьVery curious the difference between this approach and using a sine wave and deconvolver (as you can do using Logic's Impulse Response Utility). Which method would produce the most accurate results and why?
ОтветитьIf the impulse is only one sample long it doesn't really matter if you use white noise or some other signal. it's basically one number in the range of the 24 bit sample depth representing a non-zero amplitude of the waveform at that moment. it has no frequency content except the frequency of 1 event per play. imho
