SHOULD YOU BOOK A GUARANTEE (GTY) STATEROOM ON ROYAL CARIBBEAN?

Hey Shannon question: why don't you do a 1hr video chat with viewers every week live. I think you would do amazing and have people donate money to you guys in a super chat like everyone does. You could also do a product line that you back and sell it every week on your show. Most of the video blog people on cruise videos all have a certain thing they do. With all the new first time cruisers out their you helping with rooms i think would go over big answering questions live. I know you helped us alot and so many times i wish i knew more about a certian ship. Just a thought...we would definitely tune in every week to watch. Take care.

Thank you for this video, we’re going on a transatlantic cruise on odyssey of the seas in November and this tip saved me about $900 for a guaranteed balcony. We’re not too worried about obstructed views and as long as we can sleep we’re good 👍🏽 to go! 😊

I booked a gty balcony on the Mariner of the seas for Sept this year and already got a assigned balcony and its a really good location! So it worked out for me!

Thought guaranteed rooms aren’t guaranteed anymore….you might show up and someone else got your room thru a charter group.

Booked a suite guarantee. What have you heard in your experience when certain room are already booked up in that category are you chances better getting room that are still available closer to sailing or do they just save rooms?

Thanks so much for the tip in your video about adding our SetSail Passes to Apple Wallet to see those 4 numbers that will likely be our cabin. I could not see anything other than "GTY" and "Reprint" (as well as deck 8 when I looked at the SetSail passes in the app on my iPhone) regarding our cabin number until I went through that process. Since we are about 40 days out, I am hoping we will get a confirmation on our cabin soon. 🚢

I am so glad I came across your video. We booked a balcony guarantee on Symphony via online about a month ago. The cruise isn’t until October of this year. When I came across your video, I wondered what type of balcony guarantee we had because we didn’t remember having an option to choose from neighborhood or ocean view. We called and sure enough, they had us booked for XN. We got it changed to XB, so thank you thank you!!!!

I've booked a guarantee neighborhood balcony on the Symphony of The Seas, and we will either get a boardwalk or Central Park stateroom. I'm hoping for a boardwalk

On Royal Caribbean, you can find out your assigned guaranteed room # right after you check in! You upload your RC Set Sail pass to your Apple Wallet and the bar code will show the numbers under the bar code. The last 4 to 6 digits is your room #!

Is there a possibility of getting bumped from your cruise with a GTY? first time sailing with RC.

Great video, wonderful info! I just found a video earlier today on "add to wallet" trick. Oct 23rd can't get here fast enough! We were originally in Ocean view but few weeks later we decided balcony would be fun so I looked and for kicks checked Jr. Suite prices, and like you example for GTY in Jr. Suite it was cheaper then picking balcony for reg balcony room. So we grabbed it. Wondering if there is any way to find your room before check in date?

I have read if you get a room you don't like on embarkation day to go down to guest services and sometimes if you early they will switch you. Worth a shot!

Why don’t you like “all the way forward?” I have a cruise coming up next week. I’m at the Aft. Room 1154 on Navigator of the Seas. I’ve never cruised this high and this forward and that worries me.

My experience wasn't good, they put me directly under a bar and up til 3-4am all you hear was stomping and dragging chairs.

I love RC and have been cruising for years. I don’t agree with extra cost to pick a stateroom. Unless a room is bigger ( sq.footage) extra cost is unnecessary. With that said I booked a balcony on icon gty. I did ask for midship…. Crossing fingers the view is good

This is our 1st time doing a guranteed Suite, but we are ok with wherever they put us.. I looked at all Jr. suites on Wonder they are all Midship which works for me... The only issue is we can't do Royal Up til you get cabin number correct??? Im fine with our Jr. Suite locations on Wonder so far... we'll see

I booked a gty on Symphony and just got assigned the second fwd oceanview balcony stateroom. Now I’m worried. Why do you think those are the worst stateroom?

Just want to say thank you for this video! I'm going on Icon of the Seas with my best friend for our 30th birthdays next month, and we finally got assigned our staterooms after 6 months of anticipation. We booked D2 Oceanview Guarantee with a TA, and thankfully (although it looks like it ended up being a D5?), we got assigned to a stateroom (7596) towards the middle of the ship which is what we wanted since we are both prone to motion sickness. Also, thankfully it's away from the elevators since those areas tend to be quite loud all day and night!
I would have loved if we were able to pick our own room to save ourselves the stress of anticipation, but that was not an option for oceanview balconies with Icon of the Seas, unless we went with the new infinite style balcony or a larger balcony room as you mentioned, and I did not want the infinite style as I enjoy separating the outdoors from my air conditioned room.
Nonetheless I'm so excited! Thank you again for this video, and blessings on all of our upcoming cruises :)

Just booked a balcony suite on star of the seas for 5k , that good price?

1st time we booked GTY RC Navigator of the Sea we already did online check-in but our luggage tag does not have room number our sailing is 3 weeks from now. Im really confused about this GTY. Is this like the hotel you will get the room number on the day of the cruise?

I just booked on Harmony for October. For an ocean balcony where do I need to look for the xb? I had no idea that “we pick” means they can pick anywhere for you to go.
