Yes it was definitely a horrible deal, I thought why would they capitulate so much when they were winning, it is sad because I prayed the hostages would be finally released and could be reunited with their loved ones, but we now know there are kinks once again dealing with this unpredictable regime. I still believe we are waiting for all of the players in Psalm 83 to step forward including the Tents of Edom (Southern Jordan), Moab (Central Jordan), Ammon (Northern Jordan), the Ishmaelites (Saudi Arabia) and the Hagrites (Egyptians). When all of these combined with the other 5 groups who already are at odds with Israel, then the Jews will be truly surrounded. Thoughts?

I’m sure I missed it somewhere, but was wondering why eschatology teachers believe that “when they say peace and safety” Paul is talking specifically about Israel? If I read it without study, I would assume he’s just saying that destruction will come about at a time when people in general least expect it. But I’d love to know the reasoning for why we are pretty certain he’s talking about Israel here.

Could it be that those who say peace and safety are not Israel but Hamas? Think about this, once they get the deal they want and they know Israel can’t attack them because of the deal, they will think they are at peace and safety. However, they will be the ones who will suffer sudden destruction.
