Keep in mind that there will only ever be ONE Mask Locator in a given playthough, and it will be pertinently locked to the mask you choose once you get it.
It is intended to help people in the end game find that one last mask they've been missing.

This game wasn't abandoned in favor of the new version, it continued development by myself and a few others, alongside the new version.
Legacy completed it's development a few years ago -- Releasing with a full and completable main quest line, many side quests, cosmetics, items, and a detailed open world with plenty of interesting things to find.


(I do agree that the menus can be cumbersome though, I'll see if I can fix a little of that.)
