Hello po, I’m a citizen here in Canada and my boyfriend and I are planning to get married next year in the Philippines but at the same he’s trying to get a student visa as well so he can come with me after our wedding. Will this be a violation if he applies as a single for student visa but leaves the Philippines as married? Hope I could get a reply. Thank you!!

Hello, I had a proxy marriage because of covid. Now I am applying with my husband to get permanent resident card and it says that is not valid because we where not phisically present. So we should divorce and married again?

Hello, I am from Colombia, I had a job offer from nova scotia, I apply by the nomination program, I had the endorsement letter, now I am in the point to apply for the permanent resident card. I got married last year in june by civil marriage, because my boyfriend had cancer, because of covid he went to other city to do his treatment because his parents knew some doctors there, because in my city was full of covid and they said that where going to attend him in some months but he needed inmediatley medical assitance, so we were on long distance relationship for 2 years now since covid started. I travel to visit him and hetravel visit me. Then covid was worse and was irresponsable for me to go to visit him and maybe infect him with covid. Last year he was on chemotherapy, I could not go because of covid, I did not want to infect him, we decided to get married on june last year, I send a power to his mother and she sign for me. She call me from the court by whats app and I was listening the ceremony. Months after we thought in the idea to go to Canada, and on december, 6 months after we got married I got the job offer and started the process, now almost 1 year of being married I was reading the instructions to apply for permanent resident card, to put my husband as a dependant and I see that our marriage was not phisically with the presence of both of us, so is called proxy, and is not valid. What do we do? What do you recommend me becuase I am not going to Canada without him. We were thinking in divorce and get married again and be together and sign together, so immigration Canada will take our marriage valid? but I do know if that will be a problem. What do you recommend me to do?

Truth be told, 99% people only come to Canada US or any other country only for PR or green card.

ok big mistake there. If your PR is removed or about to be removed because it was obtained by fraud, you cannot play H&C there (there might be specific cases when they cannot deport you, but it will not give you a proper status). You can only appeal against the fraud accusation as such, that no fraud was committed. Otherwise are he could do is a plea for pardon (sorry I do not know exactly how such thing would work).
Appeals are always about points out that the other side did a mistake when judging your case.
Well that aunt can be also legally hold for that (accessory to the fraud in this case).
And sadly he was bad lucky. Either by some sheer accident they got that info from his ex spouse or they caught that "Clarise" and she spilled the beans (maybe for exchange of a better sentence)

Hi Rachel, i just want to ask.

I was already approved for a SP for Fall 2021 intake. I applied as single and didn't declare my girlfriend in the imm forms as clp since we are not living in together. We are planning to get married before I fly to Canada. Will it have an effect/issue in my future PR application? Hoping for your response. Thanks!

Hey I actually have a boyfriend does that mean I have to compulsorily disclose my status towards common law partner ? but I don't have any legal documents to prove my relations and I want to know if i can keep it without disclosing as disclosing my status under married/ common law partner is potentially getting my CRS scores down. Also I have a tattoo of almost 7-9 inches on my right hand , would this create any difficulty for my immigration ?

That is my plan before like I will take any program just to get to Canada then apply for PR, but then I realized that when I do that I will not be able to enjoy my program and I will find it hard to finish it because it is not the program that I want. That is why I am going to apply this December in a program that I like even if it's expensive haha.
