I grew up in Coventry in the 70s and 80s, it was a dangerous place but it was clicky, back in the day the place was very multicultural because of being the birthplace of 2 tone, it also had a large Jamaican Community,and in the 90s the rave scene had a big influence on the place and became a party city.. The Eclipse..✌❤🇬🇧

I've visited nearly all those places and not felt unsafe at all.

Stoke on Trent isn't a bad place to live there are far worst cities the thing which makes Stoke bad is the poor education system plus the high unemployment rate but apart from that Stoke is one if not the most creative city in the UK

When I visited, admittedly a while ago, I rather liked Stoke. It was certainly run down in parts but you could tell that there was an underlying quality to the place. It oozed history. Burselem was my favourite town.

In my opinion there are no (not any; absolutely none) conurbations in England that are not shitholes. Some have redeeming features and may be marginally better than others but they are still shitholes.

Bradford is so bad they ought to remove it's city status and free the likes of Ilkley, Saltaire and Bingley to become towns in their own right again.
