Pandora's box..yep. oh the excitement and nieveity. Miss these days.
ОтветитьThe internet? Pfft. it'l never catch on.
ОтветитьIt’s sad this computers always stood there but where rarely used in junior high school like the books in the shelf and everything else.
ОтветитьOne thing that hasn't changed is presenters turning to look into the camera while driving. It's still done nowadays which surprises me because it's dangerous, illegal and totally unnecessary.
ОтветитьWe lived through it lads. What a different world now. But still the same.
ОтветитьThis was before they realised how dangerous it is to vlog while driving!!!!!😮
Maybe this was filmed before Windows 95 came out, or maybe it was too expensive of an OS at the time!
The Danish pastries just left on a plate to go stale!😂
Oh the NOZ! You cannot mistake the 90's!😊
The Acorn Archimedes!😃❤️
This was back when the internet was innocent.
It would look interesting more.
ОтветитьI think it would be good nowadays if the internet looked like it did then in the old format and style.
ОтветитьInternet Cafes; when you absolutely, positively need to have all your private data stolen by viruses and keyloggers, then get hacked six ways to sunday
ОтветитьThanks to the Internet, Simon Groom can now look at beautiful pairs of knockers to his heart's content! (I'm talking of course about the knockers on the doors of Durham Cathedral. I'm sure nothing else ever entered Simon's mind!)
ОтветитьI used to think it was called "Blue Peter" because of Peter Purves. I couldn't think of any other reason - though I did wonder what was "blue" about him.
ОтветитьThis is a neat Time Capsule of the 90's with huge computer monitors, the Internet being referred to as the 'information Superhighway', early 3D graphics and hearing Bill Clinton's voice.
ОтветитьWhat’s ‘The Internet’. Never heard of it.
ОтветитьThis was such an exciting time to be a kid.the Internet was this brand new thing to explore, games were going 3d, we had crazy movies like Toy Story using cgi. It felt like we were living in the future. Crazy how quickly we came to take it all for granted!
ОтветитьWindows 3.1 with large fonts - what a rare sight.
ОтветитьAmazing how they were amazed NY the most basic functions, imagine telling them people have jobs solely over the Internet and we interact more often over the Internet than in real life.
ОтветитьMe 1995 wow 🙂
Me 2022 wow 😭
My yahoo mail address I had created in 1995 and use it for all purpose to this day.
ОтветитьThanks BBC Archive Team as I Muslim AllahPak Bless All of you These thing are my Past its to hard to watch this video My Heat is melting bye bye Past But here is one hting the (Present is not Pure)
ОтветитьI miss this era as many graphics as possible and just the enormous enthusiasm at anything also playing pretty random music
ОтветитьGood lord we had it good back in those days: Netscape Navigator, dial-up... JOY! :D
Ответитьhas every black BBC presenter become a marxist pro black activist now?
ОтветитьI was 11 years old and I remember my mother calling it a fad that won't last. My or my how times have changed.
ОтветитьNot sure if this whole internet thing will be successful
ОтветитьWhy wasn’t she using Google Chrome
ОтветитьI knew Dianne a little when I lived in London. Nice to see her here
ОтветитьI want to go back in time and tell Diane not to get too excited. Before long the internet will be overrun with Russian and Chinese bots, American Nazis and wannabe pornstars.
ОтветитьAdorable
ОтветитьBack in 2000, it's frustrating to keep an hour of time for internet surfing or else get charged for hilariously expensive telephone bills
Ответить¡Qué nostalgia de mis primeras conexiones de Internet hace más de 20 años en el colegio! Saludos y Bendiciones desde Chile.
Ответитьliterally talked to the local drunk guy the other day and he genuinly still doesn't know what the internet is, i tell him he could get TV on it, it's like a big tv service
ОтветитьA script and production worthy of Alan Partridge
ОтветитьWhy is this woman going about the internet? It's not exactly new ffs!!
Ответитьhow boring is it in the UK?\
ОтветитьI absolutely LOVED her in blue Peter!! She was soooo good
ОтветитьThey probably didn't expect to see them say all this on the internet with a smartphone that can fit in their pockets
ОтветитьIt'll never catch on
ОтветитьMy love of Massive Attack was obviously planted from a very young age. Child "I've been to Hawaii, not literally" Presenter "I know"
ОтветитьWhen this was filmed the majority of computers being used would be using slow 386 and 486 c.p.u. The introduction of Microsoft Windows 95 and the Pentium/Cyrix c.p.u. significantly improved computer performance.
Ответить"Information superhighway" 😂 Also, when was the last time someone used the phrase "world wide web"?
Ответить1995 seems not so long ago.
Netscape {best browser ever} was the internet browser and then followed Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Banger they’re playing massive attack. What a time.
ОтветитьAny updates on how it went?
ОтветитьThis will never catch on! 🙂
ОтветитьHmm. We're having trouble finding that site.
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьI still remember to this day typing in my first address into a web browser in 1996 at my local library. GREAT TIMES
ОтветитьCrazy to think the kids in this video, some of them probably have kids of their own as old as they were in the video now 😳
I was about 10 years old, and remember those computers. I think our Primary School at the time, had just started to integrate the internet, I remember 1 of them having internet then slowly the other 3-4 computers started to get on the net. But didn't really use the net properly probably till 1996-1997 when I got into secondary school.
Now, this is old then. I was 15 when the internet first became a thing before computer screens started becoming thin.
The first thing I had was dial-up through our landline phone which had that weird noise going, took a long while to connect and was also expensive before smartphones came out and started offering unlimited data sims which I used for a low monthly fee. It wasn't until 2 years ago that I got broadband which I now use obviously.
You always know something sticks when Massive Attack's "Unfinished Symphony" is still relevant even now today.
