I bought a 50 dollar bank bag and I found a 1958 D Lincoln penny it shows a double die obverse..

Being offered are 5 1958 pennies—4 of which have no mint marks with one having the “ s” mintage.
ALL are DDO and DDR.
ALL were struck on a dime. Planchet. You can see some of the dime coming through. In addition, there are numerous ink residue stains. The DDO and DDR are on the DATE, LIBERTY—just about everywhere.
The coin that sold for over a million dollars in January does not have all these errors. Of course, the million dollar penny was in mint condition. My 5 are fine/extra fine.

Most are in fine/ extra-fine
condition. A few are bright extra-fine++
None are near mint/mint.

Lot 3 1958 pennies, 2 with no mint mark and 1 with a “d”
On the obverse on the DATE 1958 it is clearly a “ Double Die”
On the reverse , the letters ONE CENT” is much thicker than normal.
The 1958 penny that sold for over a million dollars in January of this year, was probably normal because if it was thicker than normal the auction house would have noted and displayed it.
I would say that the condition of these pennies are at least fine/extra fine and one retains some of its original sheen ( it’s the penny with the double die)

ALL are series “ A”
ALL have the beginnings of an additional “O” next to Washington’s photo. If Washington’s photo was removed, you would see the complete “O”
On the obverse under “Washington DC” under the “O” there are thirty-six small “spaces” where
the gap should be but there are also eight “wide “spaces” and one space with no space and touching.
On the reverse ALL 45 have the same small number “4” in the right corner.
As to condition, most are near mint / mint. There are a handful ( perhaps 5) that appear to have been folded/creased in the center but NONE with heavy folding or creasing.
“4,500” packs!

Lot: 3 1958 pennies. Two have no mint marks. One has a “ d” mark. The DATE on the obverse is doubled Die on the penny that is the brightest.
On the reverse: “ ONE CENT” is THICKER than normal, I would presume thicker than the penny that sold for over a million in January of this year. I’m presuming that it wasn’t thicker than normal or the auction house would have shown it.

I have one of these coins. The doublng is so pronounced on the liberty and a little on the day and In God We Trust. I bought a coin microscope, and that is how I saw this. What should I do. I also have the 1969S&D with doubling.

I was told recently that I do have one …never realize coin values much until a yr ago. It appears to have a dash above the five.. sending it off to have graded
