It's very creative and highly self-absorbed at the same time.. ;) A journal this polished is of course not a journal at all but a highly staged facsimile of a journal. A simulated journal before it is anything else.

The drama is too contrived and too 'faked' to call it 'real life' imho but her talent is undeniable!

Talented 'beyond their years' gets thrown around too often, but for her it holds true. So glad I randomly clicked a couple years back! The cinema and storytelling is so immersive and authentic

As soon as I came across her content about a year ago I POURED through her catalogue and was so moved and impressed by it all. It's different than all the other content I watch. I love that there is so much appreciation for the detail, expertise and love that goes into her craft.

Oh my gawsh, I cannot say how much this video right here, and Natalie helped me to figure out what I actually truly want.
She feels like a friend that I never met. Used to make travel videos which have been fun without knowing what I actually did, then shifting to more educating videos about Working Holiday in Japan and now took a year off of not doing anything than just recovering from mental health issues, because this year what a year of losing people due to sickness, diseases, age, accidents.
I feel strength growing inside me again, and I'm thanking both of you talking about the creative process. :*

It blows my mind that she shows incredibly advanced storytelling techniques but isn't very technically experienced (i.e. - like using crop sensors and picture styles). There is DEFINITELY a part of her brain that is sympathetic conveying story, feelings, and tone...it's quite obvious when watching her stuff. For me, the technical part is SO much easier than finding that magical chord that moves someone by having experienced it.

Algorithm did me good. This is such a beautiful dissection of her work.

Hello Natalie, you have some major Cinematography skills, and I’m so impressed with your ability to take us through our youth, not as a male or female, but remind us of a time we wish only to forget and how you focus the story to mirror the main character to address the struggles at any age, yet force us to connect with of hopes, fears, and accomplishment.

Can’t wait to see one of your film in theatre, you’re a natural. Glad my old friend showed me your film. I was blown away. Retired film makers “office national du cinema” ONF Canada. I rarely have seen people that natural. All that with less than 50k followers, and I think still below 1. Million. These numbers are going to explode. You use amazing music, 99% on one off my playlist. I wonder if living on the PNW helps, so many carry a camera but you hit an home run. Best of luck. Real Journaling on film.
