The 2009 turbo convertible is actually kinda lit stock. Dgmw, it's still bad. But throw an exhaust, new tires, suspension, and an exhaust, cute little training track card for a fwd. And you can drift in them stock on wet roads. Not pretty, but you definitely can...

Those things where junk. I worked at a dealership and I worked on them all the time! I was the young guy at the shop so I got all the bad work. The most common issues were, the rear latch solenoid or a combo, cooling fan/head gasket job. They all sucked. The rear latch thing was common and aweful to fix. I never found a proper alignment procedure so I just had to disassemble the whole thing about 10 times and put it back together before it worked again. That is inconvenient but, The worst part of those cars is the small radiator, single cooling fan and the fact that that fan was a huge point of failure. Oh, and the slightest bit of overheating almost always blew a head gasket.

When I was little, my mom had a 2002 PT Cruiser that she had customized. She drove me around in it all the time and I had fun in it. Although we had to give it away unfortunately, I thought it was the coolest car that she ever owned.

It’s actually in 2006 is when the 2nd Gen pt cruiser came out. 2001-2005 is the original. 2003 was the first year with color matching bumpers. 2005 was the last year of the original face. Bumpers and lights and interior. 2005 was the first year of the solid Chrysler tailgate handle logo on the back. 2006 -2010 is the second Gen. With new tailights new bumpers, new tailights. And a completely re done interior. There is a very big difference.

I always had a soft spot for the PT Cruiser I wouldn't want to drive one but it's just such a goofy looking car I can't help but like it.

For the price of the pt turbo you could get a mid grade Subaru outback, that’s a very good price for the time.

We got one when I was a kid and it was my brother's favorite car. I think he just liked the way it looks. My dad didn't want to get it, but my mom really did for some reason 😅

I got my 08 pt in 09 for about 9 grand. Still have it. The muffler went out and now it sounds like a corvette. No actually it has more BAAAASSS! Also it had lots of bass the whole time since I put in a custom sound system after I got it with a 500w 12 inch polk and 6x75w amped kenwoods. I will be fixing the muffler because its just TOOOOO loud. I still like my 5 series a whole lot better. Besides owning a BMW. Driving a Mountaineer V8 and any modern car like a Toyota Camery or like a Jeep grand Cherokee is about 10 times better than the PT.

Lol my buddy with a PT Cruiser wanted to race my W210 E320 once. I knew it was a waste of time so I didn't bother. Now I wish I'd have done it and smoked him, bc my 0-60 is faster than even the Turbo PT 😂

I just bought an '02 with 80,000 miles with a brand new engine because it was a steal at $2500 (engine was replaced because the old man who had it let it go dry and cracked the block). Needs a paint job cause paint doesn't hold up in the Texas sun, but there is so much room inside. Only complaint is the turning radius. Been driving a Dodge Grand Caravan for 20 years and though it's like 3 feet longer it can still make tighter turns than the Cruiser

I think my least favorite thing about my pt is the turning radius. However it makes up for it with sweet turbo sounds and a pretty cheap aftermarket community

I owned a 2003 Limited Edition Diesel model that I bought super cheap 2nd hand with very low km on it (likely because it used to belong to an old lady) and I loved that car and still missed it. Apparently it had a Mercedes engine in it so it was crazy fast and aggressively pulled away. But she broke repeatedly and parts cost too much because the car was rare in SA and discontinued. Also means that I always had to wait 2 months or so for any parts.

I’m selling a convertible one at work and it sold 2nd day lol

my dad had an 01, and an 03 GT, my mom had an 03 GT, one of my half brothers had a 07 Dream Cruiser. Dad took his to car shows with some mods and actually won a few shows (for the category). good memories.

My parents bought one around 2007, when I was about 10 years old. I thought it looked super cool back then. Funny how tastes change 😂

I was given my PT Cruiser 9 years ago. 2001 PT Cruiser limited edition. This is now 2022. I still love this car. I get a couple of compliments a week on my car. It just reminds me of a little gangster car from the forties . I got white wall tires on it. I'm about to get it painted I love it I'm sorry. She's been pretty good to me
