Obsessive Tool fan for 20+ years. Man I really wish that the custom shop model wasn't so outrageously expensive because though this is a beautiful guitar and sounds great... Adam's 79 is a custom shop not a standard so that immediately puts me off a bit. Having said that I may end up grabbing one at some point because they are my fav band and I'll never justify or even be able to afford the high prices on signature custom shop guitars.
Ответитьdid yours not have the thumb bleeders?? I just got mine today and had them. wasn't expecting them. hmmm
ОтветитьAwesome guitar!
ОтветитьFreaking sounds great!😍😍😍😍😍😍❣️
ОтветитьDo you know if it's possible to put a nickel pickup cover on the bridge pickup? I'd love to make it look a little bit more "standard" without having to switch the bridge pickup.
ОтветитьLooks and sounds great. Wish I had that money.
ОтветитьDid you not cover the neck depth/profile??? That's what I came here for!!
ОтветитьGreat video I agree Gibson shuold definitely revisit the Volute I really dig the feel and look of the Volute.
ОтветитьProper set up, fret dressing, and heavy enough string gauge like 11-56, and you'll get no buzz. :)
ОтветитьDon't forget about the upper fret neck carve for good upper fret access similar to a PRS SC. That is different from a standard LP.
"Technical players will appreciate the Adam Jones Les Paul Standard's carved neck heel, and its ebony fingerboard makes everything from riffing to soloing seem effortless."
Niiiiiiice
Ответить3k and no mirror included. I am out. Lol great review!
ОтветитьA question: why the neck pickup comes the other way around and if the sound differs if it were in a way with the magnets up. And it could be left then
ОтветитьGreat video! Very detailed about the guitar and that jam at the end was a blast to listen to
ОтветитьPerfect guitar. Just wish they tried binding in the headstock.
ОтветитьSo what's the difference between this and the signature editions
ОтветитьI have one of the Epiphone chet atkins sst deluxe with birdseye maple clear finish scored it from a guy who bought it new in the 90s played it like 2 -3 times for whatever reason I love it but it sat in the case for 20 years it's mint and he let me get it for 200$ been looking around lately seeing them priced at 750 i would really love to install a humbucker In it and probably go with 2 Jack's ive only find one other person who's done this mod im a little fearful of removing any wood wish I could find a nice pickup to go under the strings were they have the fake sound hold with basically an ash trey in it seeing how Gibson chambered the body but its all solid mahagony but I believe there's a few plies of it with the 🕊️ 👀 maple top it very much reminds me of my old les Paul as far the body styling goes
ОтветитьThat was the coolest playing I’ve seen in a while. Like if Adam jones decided to play blues/jazz
ОтветитьThis and a Diezel VH4 would be awesome times!
ОтветитьI love this guitar. More than the custom shop.
ОтветитьGreat demo! You really loved playing that it looked like. Nearly trance out and switch the pickup tho? CMON! Lets see the stuff you bought! lol jk. good day! SALUT~
ОтветитьI've seen tool over 20 times. This guitar sounds so good!
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьThe ebony board and MOP trapezoid inlay makes this guitar. Love that
ОтветитьI heard a Judas Priest Run of the Mill lick in there
ОтветитьHate to sound like an idiot, but what's the song you're playing?
ОтветитьIt's PRETTY!
ОтветитьAfter watching the Gibson Vs Epiphone Adam Jones videos back to back, the Epiphone looks and sounds closer to the Signature model. If I bought this Gibson, I'd honestly be disappointing that it came with less features than the Epiphone that's less than half the cost.
Ответитьhas it got those stupid nibs on the binding?
ОтветитьI like it more than the veil of bees.
ОтветитьGreat review! Just got word that mine is in and will be shipped.
ОтветитьSo happy I found this video. I had to raise the bridge on the bass side too. That fret buzz was a little too much!
ОтветитьAdam Jones vs Slash models, which do you prefer??
ОтветитьI want to win!!!
Great video, Love it, keep the reviews coming!!!
Way to rock it out! Just finished watching, love those high gain HB tones too
ОтветитьAmazing instrument and good demo too
ОтветитьNice playing 👌🏻
ОтветитьBest all around Les Paul in production right now. Has a great neck profile. Looks insane.
ОтветитьI like how the power chords sound like Tool no matter what you're playing
ОтветитьI have just ordered one of these and I can't wait to have it. Literally my dream guitar since I first saw the silverburst custom LP, but I couldn't afford it when it was 4k.
ОтветитьThat poly is NOT going to age like nitro
ОтветитьInterested in how the DC High-Gain Humbucker, in the bridge of the Gibson Adam Jones Standard version, compares to the Seymour Duncan Distortion in the new 1979 Epiphone Adam Jones??
Ответитьdoes the case still smelled like vanilla on this modell? or is the gibson smell gone?
ОтветитьThanks for the demo.
I would say that you pretty much covered what that guitar can do. Sounds great that bridge pup sounds amazing.
I just picked one up because I wasn’t paying $10k for the custom. All my other guitars are high end customs or prs 594 McCarty’s and the quality of this standard is right up there, I was super impressed. Best of all, the guitar was inspiring for me. I wrote 3 songs the second I picked it up but sadly they all sound like tool 😆. Love it though. I added locking tuners and a string butler right away cause and filed the nut because Gibson can’t cut nuts correctly and I can’t deal with tuning stability issues. String butler really helps. I almost never have to tune in the middle of a show. They go on all my Les Paul’s
ОтветитьJust ordered one, pick it up this week😁😁 hello from Australia...
Dude awesome jam very impressive. Is that standard tuning?
I like it all!!!!!!!
ОтветитьKnow this is 2 years old, but rather shocking that the Epiphone 2024 model is more accurate than the Gibson.
