ОтветитьThis is such a fun video, your underwater shots are so impressive!
ОтветитьYou mentioned submarines if I need a submarine operator all I have to do is pick up my phone and make one call and then after that it’s all logistics.
Ответить@OceanScholar I had no idea that's how many other forms of Marine Bio existed. What other forms are there? I'd love to learn about each profession about Marine Bio. 😊
ОтветитьFrom India 🤌
ОтветитьI’m an aspiring grade 8 student from UAE researching on blue economy. I’m wondering if you’re willing to answer a few questions about your experience in blue economy in a short Q&A session. I hope you would spent a few minutes from your busy work schedule to help many young students understand the importance of blue economy.
Ответитьthis career has been my dream since a child but i’m scared to pursue it
ОтветитьUtila, honduras??? Omg
ОтветитьHi! My name is Sydney. I am 13 years old and very interested in being a marine biologist and going to college for that specific major. I am not sure and obviously I have a long way to go. but I get the best feeling being around animals. I found this video very interesting because I want to know what to do after collage and what career path I would like to take in marine biology. Thank you for this! Very easy to understand!
ОтветитьI’m currently in school studying to be a high school Biology teacher, but was also considering a degree in marine biology. Is it possible to do both? Teacher during the year and field work in the summer?
ОтветитьThanks for the video! Very interesting
ОтветитьThanks gor the video
ОтветитьI am a student in Amsterdam, I finished my bachelors in Bioinformatics a year ago, passed my premasters this year in preparation for my master in Freshwater and Marine Biology after summer vacation! I have always wanted to become a biologist and the marine field always fascinated me the most as I grew up on Aruba where I was surrounded by sea! I can only dream I will find such an amazing job. I have actually already had many subjects on benthic biology, coral reef ecology, population modelling and so much more. I am so excited to start working in two years! If you have any tips for me, please share. I am also wondering how the average student finds money and time to do volunteer work next to your studies as I find it really difficult to find time and afford it with my ever increasing student loan/debt (again, tips are very welcome) :)
ОтветитьMarine life is a big dream for me. Personally obsessed with sharks. So shark biologist is right up my alley. Ive loved sharks since i was little. Never scared of JAWS or any shark movie. Just made me more intriged by these creatures. I wanted to understand them. Speak their language. Communicate & explore them. I just wish i was a damn mermaid right now & live in the ocean. I hate the city life because im such a water girl.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. I'll be going to college in 2024 and i'm planning to be a marine biologist. My goal is actually to save the ocean environment and its ecosystem so i'm definitely gonna be a marine ecologist. My other goal is to save coral and do reseach in order tompreserve dead reefs and do research on polyps which falls into benthic. You think i should do both?
ОтветитьI feel sorry for the fish when you catch them :(
ОтветитьI absolutely love the sea, and I really want to make this my job so I’m definetely thinking about going to university and doing this
Ответитьmarine ecology seems so cool to me id love to become a marine ecologist
ОтветитьWhat are the colleges offering marine biology
Ответитьnot me thinking I will do this when im older.... im only 13😭

ОтветитьAwesome vid! Concise explanations are appreciated and you deliver with great confidence :)
Ответитьwhat about studying dolphins what would you need to do and stuff like that i am wanting to study dolphins in marine biology.
ОтветитьGreat explanation, of how the work of marine biologists could be! Very Realistic and in no way giving false hope. thank you
ОтветитьI’m trying to go to school for marine biology and conservation sciences. This really helped. Thank you.
Ответить😮 marine ecologist 🫣 I have a question that I'll try to frame as best as I can for marine biologists of any kind. Just brb and I'll share a link... Just in case u Mr. know about someone who could answer this question.
ОтветитьMy childhood dream, but the Jaws movie gives me anxiety when going to sea. 😅🦈
ОтветитьWhat should I do if I want to get in to the realm of marine biology
ОтветитьDr Ahmed Adam Ali Somali land
Ответитьim 17 i want to be a marine biologist and have my fun life as a manga artist
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video....I've been hearing so many things about how Marine Biologists are mostly doing lab work and analyzing. While I wouldn't mind doing that
I really wanted to get into a career where I could be in the field more often...and it seems that marine ecology is for me :) More videos about marine ecology and benthic biology would be great!
Cool video! Very focused on the charismatic mega-fauna tho, even though a large part of marine biology is on algae, plankton etc. I think people sometimes get a false image of what marine biology actually is. Of course there are lots of cool jobs on whales, sharks, corals etc. but many marine biologists end up studying processes on a scale that’s invisible to the naked eye. Just a heads up to anybody interested in studying!
ОтветитьHey I just saw your channel today I had to subscribe immediately because Marine Biology is my thing. I have a question, you see I’ve been accepted in school to study marine biology but I’m having issues financially I can’t afford to pay my tuition fee and I have no help. My question is Do you know of anyone or any institution willing to help me just to make it to the first year I’ll do the rest on my own?? Btw your channel is very informative I love it
ОтветитьWe are studying Another life on earth 🌎
ОтветитьMarine biologist 😍😍🥰🥰
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThank you for letting the public know the general name holds so many specialties! Keep going fellow ocean lover.
ОтветитьThank you for the videos, Eli!
As you gave an example, the terms of being out in the field can be 1-3 months for some of these jobs - is it standard for the researcher to work full time during those periods? Is there a day off for the weekend? I know work-life balance can be difficult within the discipline.
Thanks for this great job👏👏
ОтветитьAWESOME
ОтветитьThank you so much for this amazing video. It help me out to find my thesis topic for postgraduate scholarship. Subscribed...
ОтветитьI just found your channel and I love it!! I’m interested in getting a job within the marine biology field but I’m curious about what type of degree I would need to get a marine related career? The university I was accepted to doesn’t offer a degree in marine biology
ОтветитьFor Marine Ecologists, is it limited to smaller species in the ocean, or can you be a Marine Ecologist and observe behaviors in sharks, whales and dolphins etc?
ОтветитьI know I start to finish my scuba diving certification from Splash scuba out of Pittsburgh
ОтветитьI live in West Virginia near Pittsburgh. What schools around me would you recommend for me to pursue this profession?
ОтветитьWhat carrer path did you take after collage? where do you work now?
ОтветитьHi, I graduated with BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management in 2014, but now am finally in the sustainable development industry as a newly hired project officer in an environmental consulting company here in the Philippines, while finishing my MS in Environmental Science. I realized I wanted my career to be like that of what I see in National Geographic, or be part of the sustainability industry at large. After seeking advice, this is where I landed, finishing my master's degree to gain technical skills in this field, as it proved to be difficult to enter with jusy my bachelor's and a prior work experience from a different industry. I want to reach out to people and ask what are the ways for me to be eligible to work abroad, like in the US or European countries? Can you suggest possible ways in my scenario? I'm thinking getting enough years of relevant experience 1st, then trying my luck abroad. Or, apply for another graduate degree from a foreign university and then head straight for a working visa afterwards. Although I'm still just starting in this dream industry of mine, I'm eager to know ways of how to make it abroad. Thank you so much for your helpful insights, Eli!!
Ответитьthank you so much!! i've been wanting to pursue marine ecology in relation with data science and this really helped narrow my focus. subscribed!
