Palworld is great, and it's unique that two recent huge games are so wildly different from what we usually see. Both are largely singleplayer, both are super niche genres.

I think my $30 was well spent on Palworld - I pirated it and played for a few dozen hours, and when that save corrupted I just bought it. I worry the Dev team won't be able to scale with the game's response going from relatively obscure games to an international sensation overnight. Still, the game is mostly flushed out and they've got so much money now they could spend half of it on blow and still churn out a triple a game. I hope with it's success we see huge improvements in gameplay and swathes of content - I think they could turn this into a billion dollar franchise, so it'd be silly to run with the bag now.

Niantic/Nintendo/Pokemon needs to see this as a protest to their stale formula. Arceus was a breath of fresh air for the first few hours of itat least, but a new, more refined game is not going to happen anytime soon. It's like Fifa/EA games. The only time I enjoy a pokemon game is when I've discovered and new Pokemon ROM Hack.

Its not questionable at all every game takes inspiration from another games name another game that hasn't?

I am a fan of Pokémon but… I been looking for something more. Pokémon trying to stay safe and not break the formula the games build. It felt like it needed a new system then the same one since red and blue on game boy.

Played many games like Pokémon but they all still played the same. Nothing new or enjoyable stuff, no choice to be whatever you want! Then… this game came out!

Palworld was the game I wanted for so long, something I can jump in and feel like I’m in control and can do whatever I want. Pokémon legend arceus but with an upgrade and making it ark survival like. I been playing it and got 30 hours so far, been hyped when I saw it three years ago and been waiting for so long.

Hate how it’s getting hate cause it’s just popular and feels like people are just taking it as a ai, stolen assets, lazy game, look up how the company story on this game. The story how they did it is a nice story to help give people inspiration to be like them!

Not only did the game brewk records it also breaks servers non stop and resets everything 8 times ive been reset dedicated servers are terrible. 63 hrs and i love the game when it works but every day i get reset and the lagging and disconnects just ruin all that love playing the first 18 levels 8 time just to do it all again the next day. Save your money till they fix this game as of now it should be a free game cuz its servers are the worst

I think the existence of this game is really sad. Yes, Pokemon has been terrible for a long time, but this is not a solution. "Soulless" is correct.

I'm one for a story and love solo or PvE survival. I imagine since it's early access and it's this good (from what I've heard and seen so far) they'll address some of the issues and improve upon it

Playing it through gamepass and having a shit ton of fun with it. Honestly, it’s nice to play with friends.

I agree with the game feeling soulless. It's basically just Pokémon, Rust and Breath of the wild mashed together with no real identity of its own.
It doesn't help that the pals' artstyle doesn't fit the relatively realistic environments.

Ark was just as void. Only story is the journal entries which this game uses as well. 4000 hours on Ark, with all achievements, and never once felt the game had a soul. It seems to be the curse of survival games.

it's a survival game, you and your friends are supposed to bring the soul, it's a blank canvas
