Its interesting, the presentation showed how it detects metals pvcs under the walls. Could it also be used to see bones under the skin?

It would be nice to see if the Stud Finder tool works over bathroom tile, as in installing a grab bar in a shower or bath tub.

Well, the walabot looks pretty good and decent, but still have a little small problem to it ?But still a good stub finder . for the price ,still a little pricey. maybe $100 be perfect stuff finder. By the way, that is very good video footage and intro. 👍

This is a bit of a trick. It has a catalog images (stud, pipe, wire) and tries to match these to sensor readings. Looks cool, but I’m not sure it is any better than conventional units in the end.

Thank you for your time and efforts for testing various gadgets in your videos and giving honest opinions. Also for clear explanations and instructions on how to repair anything in the house ( plumbing, Electrical, construction, etc). Will try to watch all your videos.

You need to show concrete wall scanned instead of showing stud beyond a plywood. This is because a medium surrounded by stud matters very important.

I’m glad I found your video on this device. You did a good mockup and test. The pvc pipe & wiring surrounding you wall outlet not being found, causes me to be a little apprehensive about this tool. The cost vs accuracy…not convinced. Good video, keep up the good work. I’m a subscriber 😊

Are you recalibrating with each new wall type? I've not used the Walabot, but I think that would be important.

Don't waste your $ Only works for basic drywall. Plasterboard, cement board it's just as useless as a basic finder. Also, app is annoying to use.

I think you need to re-calibrate when changing materials. Did you do that off-camera?

looks like a difinitive fail to me. OSB is also a common wall covering material and if it shows a wire as a stud you'd be effed screwing a lag bolt into it!

Have you tried this on European style walls? Concrete, Ytong blocks, etc.

Damn, 159 bucks but i def get that its better than some others ha ha. tempted to get one because i have weird walls and my zircon isnt the best.

I'd like to see this work on my 1935 wooden lathe/plaster walls. Also, the metal mesh type plaster walls. what about walls with insulation? Foil type insulation? Open and/or closed cell foam insulation. Somehow simulated sheetrock walls in a lab setting aren't really selling me on this product. Please convince me.

It might have detected the pvc pipe if there was water in it.

Man that thing is cool it will definitely do away with multiple holes in the wall because of a cheap traditional stud finder would love to have one but my dialysis has other plans.

will this machine find pipes and conductors in a wall that is filled with dense pack cellulose?

You're going to need to do a showdown between all your stud finders soon! You should make a test piece of 1/2 and 3/4 drywall with mud, primer and paint.
