I keep coming back to Matt’s review and hear his excitement all over again. After a year of owning my neon Jimny - it’s love at first sight for me, I still freaking love this little beast! I don’t look at other cars anymore (maybe Mercedes amg sport when I really really need for speed) I often say to people when at the parking lot i don’t go looking for my car, my jimny waves at me! Think of all the time you save driving a tiny car for parking at tight spot and perfect turns at corners. It’s definitely a car with personality. I feel so safe driving it too because of the great visibility all around and the alarming signature colour so people can see you :D I particularly like its windscreen because here in Australia you get lots of strong sun. I found other cars with big wide angled windscreen too much glare reflected from the top of the dashboard. It’s so much fun to customise my Jimny too today I just added a protective shield on the windscreen to make it more bulletproof. There’s always something new & creative about what I can add to it to make it truly mine. I love my Jimny - the cutest car ever ❤

I had the suzuki samurai and still have a suzuki jimny. Love them both. Im sure this one will be even better.

It's small and tight inside as it is mainly a kei-car in its home country. Suzuki is a kei-car manufacturer.

Finally it's showcased in India at Auto Expo this year and going to be launched in coming 2-3 months, it will be 5 door version though 3 door one is getting exported from India.

Had one in St Barts. Loved it.

Cracking car my only gripe is the 5 gears crap in this day & age tbh

Matt , this car has been launched in India, but with 5 door version, but the engine is 1.5 ltr i think. What do you think, about 5 door and 1.5 ltr, shall I get it. What's your suggestion

Jimny is beast or jeep wringler for off roading

You don't need 4WD to get up that tiny hill, let alone a low 4WD. All the Nepali hill drivers from the mountains of Nepal would laugh at that test.

You buy this because you like it. That's the only reason.
They are extremely inefficient (2022 1.5l same efficiency as a 1989 vehicle)
Extremely underpowered.
Extremely cheap build.
Head units fail from day one on models with screen.
Transfer case chain will start sounding like a squashed duck after about 2000km
Springs thinner than a pencil
Shocks softer than.....
Can't get up hills with two people in it off road due to, to little torque.
But yea they're cute. You're buying cute. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't taken it off road or up a steep driveway.

I'm going to Greece for my honeymoon and you know damn well I'm going to drive all the cars we can't get here in the states. I got a Jimny for 2 days to explore the rugged island of Paros, and can't wait!

I never put any credence into reviews of interiors. it's purely subjective. I find the Jimny interior to be - if anything - too "urban." I would be happier to see a plainer interior on such a utilitarian vehicle.. The black does not bother me a bit.

On the issue of road handling: This is an "old school" solid axle, non-independant suspension vehicle of very short length-to-width ratio. In other words, you have something very similar to the old AMC Jeep CJ5. It's just the way such a vehicle handles. Modern Jeeps have axles as wide as a semi truck due to lawyers. Keep your cell phone in the glove box and pay attention.

Dear Matt, has anybody told you what the HP from the number plate stands for ? 😂 It goes very nicely with you keeping up the traffic on the left lane, or speeding around the roundabout. Match made in heaven I suppose. Hirn-Prothese !

I'm so upset we don't get this thing in the States.....they literally make G63 body/conversion kits for the damned thing to literally make it look identical to a damn G63..... just ¼ scale 😅

I'm so upset....I need one, they also make little Defender kits for the thing as well, there's huge aftermarket support for it.....dude.....they even sell GReddy turbo kits and Yoshimura exhaust for it!!!! 😭

I have the early release 2020 in black 4 [same as a 5 but with the steel wheels, no sat nav. Paid about 18k. Review is spot on. A mate said the old ones rusted, well, the underneath of mine is not looking good, terrible in fact. It has not been off road. Suzuki warranty covers the cars body shell but it would seem not the underneath. What the hell, I love it, bit wax oil and TLC and we will be good for thirty years.  [ if I live to 97]
PS, the faulty tyre pressure warning on the dash, I have just covered it over.  
Plus point it came with '3g' polish, 300 quid extra as I remember,
I couldn't argue with dealer as they are were so hard to get hold of but must say it is an amazing coating, when it rains hard all the muck just rinses off.

We use this car in Paraguay... 140 km/h?... It is perfect for us with 80-100 km/h max. Your videos are great. THX for that
