Who the heck walks that far out into the water? 😂 I never understood why the soldier didn’t stay closer to shore MF was way out there in a foreign area away from the few survivors he had left. 😂

I think I saw somewhere that this actor also plays Kong in the movie. Must be cool looking at yourself from a different perspective xD

I just realized that this scene is probably paying homage to War of the Gargantuans where in the opening scene the green Gargantua attacks a giant octopus, Kong even has a green tint to his fur! Now I'm really curious if that was actually the inspiration lol

For those of you who don't know, this giant octopus/squid is likely a reference to (or just is) Oodako, the giant octopus from King Kong vs Godzilla (1962)!

Outstanding vfx. You can really feel their heavy weight and visual effects are mind blowing.

Watching this scene in the movie made me think about trying squid
