We can't wait to go back to Mabul and do more! Stay tuned for our next visit ❤
ОтветитьI was in Kapalai Resort neighbour to Mabul island
ОтветитьThe trash issue is very saddening. I remember in 2021 the state government already took some actions to clean up the trash but too bad… the local people don’t really learn anything. The government seriously need to spend extra money on the people on the island to educate them. Illegal immigrations is a very sensitive subject in Sabah, most politicians use it to get votes but never really take any actions to address the issue.
ОтветитьHi, I am currently planning my trip to Malaysia and the content you are making is so helpful! Thanks a lot! When I looked at the travel advice of the Dutch government, they say not to visit islands like Mabul, Sipadan, Mataking, etc, because of the chances of kidnapping and piracy. Did you feel safe while travelling there or did you hear any stories about this? Thank you in advance!
ОтветитьWoww.. Nice vlog..
ОтветитьThanks for coming to Malaysia🙋🏻♂️🙏🏻🙇🏻🙏🏻♥️
I hope that you will come back again to Sabah & visit The Lost World of Borneo @ Maliau Basin 🥰🤘🏻
Itulah masalah kita rakyat Malaysia. Kita tak pandai jaga sumber kita.
ОтветитьThere's many more places for you guys to visit in Malaysia. Hope to see you again in Malaysia ❤
Ответитьyou should go to mantanani Island Sabah.
ОтветитьThere are about 5000 plus inhabitants 3000 are illegals... The headman said so.... I have been there...
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI guess that is a bad sign, not only to tourism but to marine lifes..very poor management of local government sad to see it.
ОтветитьWow nice business.
ОтветитьThks for sharing. We need to do more , get more volunteers, get education to the masses
ОтветитьWow the water really crystal clear!!! shame about the trash😢
Ответитьthere one of my travel list to go 🥹
Ответитьif they wont clean up the rubbish and plastic i gonna go there took and clean up myself
ОтветитьI Love Mabul so much... cant wait for my next trip on September
ОтветитьSUPERB 👍💖🇲🇾
ОтветитьLoved the Malaysia travel series!
ОтветитьThanks so much for great sharing this Vidio
ENJOYED watching here
To address the problem of waste generated by the locals, the Sabah government must take serious actions.
ОтветитьGood job guys. Thanks for showing the other side of travel and how some big corporations sometimes go into beautiful places and can add to the damage to the area. Obviously in this example the resort is trying to do something, so hopefully the garbage situation gets a resolution for the sake of the people that live there. - Your wildest dream is my wildest dream! 💯
ОтветитьGreat capture of Mabul island. I went through the same emotions when I visited and 4 days I was sad to leave One of my highlights of malaysia most definitely
ОтветитьBeautyful and sad guys but i hope for the future that it will be better than it is now ! Very cool video ,can't wait for the next one👍💪Love u guys ,all the best from me ❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Yes, unfortunately, trash is a huge problem on these islands. There's just no awareness, especially among the Bajau Laut (some Malaysians are like that too, be it in the east or west of Malaysia), & that's really sad. Some kind of incentives need to be put in place to encourage them to not throw their trash in the ocean. A once-in-a-while cleanup won't do any good if trash is back in the ocean again the next day. Added to the Bajau Laut people being stateless, it's a politically touchy subject. Thank you to the resort managers that are working together to resolve this problem.
Did you guys go to Bohey Dulang?
Spheredivers! Fantastic dive centre!
Ответить@AnwarIbrahim_my ...mohon PMX ambil cakna dengan kebersihan Pulau2 di Sabah...memalukan Malaysia
ОтветитьI REALLY hope we can come back to get our advanced scuba certification, dive Sipadan and volunteer on Mabul 🙏
ОтветитьCan't wait to be back and dive Sipadan! Hopefully next year we can do more for this beautiful island. Malaysia, we love you beyond words! Thank you for being so special ❤
ОтветитьNooo thank U so so much for sharing and you guys welcome anytime ❤ … take care always
ОтветитьI know right! Its been around 10 years ago that I went to Mabul Island and like both of you, its the place that stole & broke my Hearts. I've also watch some of NGOs vlog/private group/divers conduct cleaning campaign like, picking the trash and so, but sadly things seems not improving much. The trash might come from the resident and some are believe been brought from the sea and trashing the area when low tide. its good that you highlight the issue with a `respectful' words and hope our government can do something to improve the matter.
Ответитьcant agreed more. As a Malaysian, i just went to Mabul, sipadan for 1st time over the last 37 yrs last year for diving with such high anticipation. But was so so so sad and disappointed when i 1st step into the 'sea'. rubbish covering the water surface through out our boat journey to our basic resort in Mabul. We stayed in the far end of the 'water bungalow' btw. but the feeling changed when we see how pretty the underwater is and all the turtles and loving the vibes there as the nights went by.... somehow u will still fall in love with this place. so the disappointment slowly converting to unwillingness to leave the island. am hoping our Government in Sabah do do smth and act fast before its too late.
Ответитьthanks for coming to Malaysia . Appreciate your concern of this island . Lots of claims coming from our neighbouring countries . that might be the reason why Malaysia is not so keen to develop this place i think. Anyway for the sake of the people living around . Malaysia should take the lead of at least keep this place clean .
ОтветитьDisgusting and dirty people of Mabul! And most certainly useless local authority!
ОтветитьAiyaa kotor sudah balik, last balik 2021 bersih lagi tiada sampah 🥲🥲
ОтветитьThank u for this wonderful video n for also showing your marvelous time in Mabul.
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing this amazing experience ! And of course I remeber " Cimitirul vesel" 😊
ОтветитьThe waited video is out. Thank you for the honest review. This is the main reason for me to follow your channel. No sugar coat. Hope the 50 hours flight worth the journey. Jumpa lagi.
ОтветитьMalaysia is the land of diversity..from the people, cultures to the natures n sights...thx for visiting our country and please come again..:)
ОтветитьRubbish is an international NIMBY problem. It’s our problem. Just returned from Mantanani. Saw the same there. Not on the private beach, it gets cleared up, but elsewhere. Some of it I suspect is locally generated but for the most part I think it washes up. We all need to do our part. Reduce, reuse, recycle. Love the content, BTW.
ОтветитьOne thing I must say about the trash problem..as I can see in other videos about this problem is that the trash doesn't necessarily come from the people of mabul..it can be a problem of trash "imported" from other countries ie trash floated there from elsewhere..it even happens to uninhabited island as seen in other documentaries regarding this matter and I'm giving the benefit of the doubt the islander there purposely doesn't care about the island they are living in..by the way..I don't see any mentioning of the "thrash imported from other countries"..may be u can set the record straight on this matter..see ya
ОтветитьFun facts about the sea gypsy people that they're get dizzy when walk on land. They're also very scare when go on land during night time because they bury the death on land, maybe because of that there might be ghost. And they're scare of cats, yes... Cats!! Because cats and big cats (tiger, lion, cheetah) come from the feline family. They think that all cats are dangerous, wild and eat human...
ОтветитьHow many times wwf needs to pay villages to do this. So they think they will be paid again?
ОтветитьIllegal immigrants . Government should take this matter seriously.
ОтветитьI am sadden that the section with dive resorts is the worst crap on water. All this can be solved with incinerators. I do not think malaysia is so poor we cannot build incinerators, it is because illegals never pay tax. Therefore no service.
ОтветитьThe local gov never understand. To save turtles, you must save the environment first !!
ОтветитьGaya and mabul are full of illegal migrants or sea gypsies from philippines. Before covid19, ngo used to work with locals to clean up mabul. Tonnes of garbage were collected. I hope your video can start some form of donation from western societies to help protect marine life in such situation by funding ngo in sabah
