What type of frog is that?
ОтветитьHi! I watched your video many times to learn about ebjd... Great tips, there's no doubt. Please, give me your opinion. What's the best choice for my 55 gal tank: 01 EBJD living with 01 Frontosa and some dither fish like platy? Or a group of 04 EBJD with the platy? EBJD live fine with FRONTOSA? How was your experience about this?
ОтветитьSorry for your loss man. I have several fish, and my EBJD is my favorite... He is 1 year old so far... I got him when he was about 1/2 an inch long.. He is 5.5 inches now.
ОтветитьI just started up a 60gallon (Internal filter and a cannister filter) with 2 EBJD(Bought as pair, but they where very small like 3inches, so the store couldnt be 100%), 10 Black Phanthom Tetra (Ive had them for around 9months),3small plecos (had them with tetras for 6months) and my old pleco whos soon 4years old and around 9inches. Provided multiple hiding spots. Ive had them for 3days now, they are a little shy but seems to be doing fine. Any comments on this :)?
My only concern is, do the big old pleco scare them?
Genetic diversity is important to the long term survival of a species and the health of the individual. That is why I'll never buy another designer fish or adopt a purebred dog.
ОтветитьLovely fish
ОтветитьGood video I cried 🤧
ОтветитьI would suggest treating all new Electric Blue Jack Dempsey from Pet Stores (Unknown Origins)with Clout and also treat for internal parasites Automatically. This will greatly increase your chances of getting your Electric Blue Jack Dempsey to live into adulthood (provided it has decent genetics). Also I would avoid live food, as it can cause a parasite problem unfortunately.
ОтветитьI’m sorry but towards the end of the video there was a blacker and blue fish would you be able to provide me with the name?
ОтветитьHow do you get free cichlids
ОтветитьMost seem to die within 4 years. Seems a bad hybrid gene wise. Shame as it is a beautiful fish.
ОтветитьDid you grow the fronts and the jd together? From same size?
ОтветитьNice video and such a beautiful fish. He was lucky to have you as his care taker.
ОтветитьGreat video thank you, i have some juvenile 2,3cm but each 2 or 3 days i get one died! What is the problem pls??
ОтветитьIt is a beautiful tank, the blue Dempsey is a wonderful fish, I have one, only it is very aggressive, I already have a year with it and it does not grow, its size is almost two inches, I think it is too small
ОтветитьMannnn, that's insane. I have almost the identical fish veriaty setup as yours. Lol. I got one Electric Blue Jack Dempsey, two Blue Acaras, two Frontosas, 6 Rainbow fish and 1 Angel fish. So by looking at your tank I was like wow that's our tank. Lol. But I also have 5 Clown Loaches, 2 Geopheguses, 1 Bichir Eel, 1 Peacock Eel, 1 Rope fish, 2 Pictus catfish, 1 Butterfly fish, 2 Synodontis catfish, 1 Pleco and Raphael catfish. As you can tell I got a very diverse tank. And you're 100% correct that if you raise them together from their childhood they get along quite well with their tank mates. A lot of people said that my fish won't get along because those are too different from each other and eventually one will be attacking the other. But I had them together for more than a year now and knock on wood, so far so good. Everyone is happy and nobody is picking on anyone. Great educational video. And I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure your Blue Electric Jack Dempsey had a happy life.
ОтветитьSuch a beautiful fish. It makes a statement even when compared to Saltwater fish. I want one so bad but I’ve only ever seen them sold as very small fish
ОтветитьStunning mate. My boy very similar in looks as you can see over on my channel. I've had him for over a year now and got him a jack Dempsey girlfriend 😁
ОтветитьCan I have a single JD in a 30 tall tank? Im looking to do a single specimen cichlid tank with my new 30
ОтветитьHoly s*** theres a frog
ОтветитьCan I use some of you footage I have small ebjd and need so footage of an adult
Ответитьbeautiful fish and tank
ОтветитьThanks for this video!! Good information , Great! Strength with the loss !!! Greetz from Holland 🇱🇺
ОтветитьWhat kind of fish is the orange one on top of him at 25 sec?
ОтветитьHe was certainly a cool fish. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhat a nice video and a beautiful fish. You were so sweet to Garris. We just got a Jack Dempsey and I hope he lives up to Garris’s legacy.
ОтветитьDid i just find the 4 star dragon ball?!?! but seriously great video very helpful and sorry about your fish.
Ответить🙏😭✝️🐟
ОтветитьDid you end up getting another one? I got one that was about a inch now he’s about 3 inches
Ответитьcan you mix this fish with a regular jack dempsey?
ОтветитьGreat stuff!! New subb
Ответить10 to 15 years for EBJD's. Mine is coming up to 8 years. Not sure why yours only lasted 3 years. 😪
Ответитьhow old could they get
ОтветитьDying young? I can never get EBJD's to survive more than 3-4 days in my aquarium that contains Severums, Angels, Acara and a catfish. The ones I can get hold of tend to be very young, and therefore much smaller than the those fish in the tank. Consequently they feel overawed and go into hiding. When "found" by another fish, they behave like prey, very skittish, which is like waiving a red rag to a bull to the other cichlids. So much as I'd like one in my tank, unless I get one that's a lot bigger than you get at a LFS, one that can look after itself, It's a no-go for me.
ОтветитьWow... and you have a dragon ball!!!
ОтветитьJust a nice Jack Dempsey. I have two electric blue Jack Dempsey in my tank and some Frontosas and some green terrors. But your fishes are too beautiful.
ОтветитьHow long did he live for
ОтветитьSo beautiful fish
ОтветитьThanks for sharing mate...I love those special animals so much..I may not handle losing them early...good on you man...
ОтветитьBeautiful! Am going to try one. What are the reddish orange fish? Thanks
ОтветитьI think they have improperly been taken care regardless of the “typical life span or typical size” since they are sensitive they should be kept with only a few fish or of there own .i know water quality is key but so is there food and stress level.
Ответитьdang i wasted 40 dollars today on 1 of these every video says they die early wish the pet store would have warned me i could have grabbed something eles
Ответитьincredible fish
ОтветитьExcellent video and congratulations ive learn alot from this video very positive
ОтветитьCan we feed them freeze dried worms? Any thing to not feed them?
ОтветитьI love understocked tanks
ОтветитьHow you maintenence to the fish don't get killed
ОтветитьThank you for the video; it was nice watching it. I just got two little blue guys, and one is growing oddly faster than the other. So, I think I will keep them separated to give the smaller the chance to put on some size. They sure are beautiful. It's a strange thing; I have never seen two fully grown Dempseys in the same tank.
ОтветитьI have a 125 gallon tank do you think I should try again I’ve haven’t had an EBJD in 9 years
Ответить
