I watched this show as a kid in the late 60's and early 70's and always find a certain comfort watching them now. It was good clean fun entertainment even though there was plenty of drinking and smoking.

I loved Bewitched. The only character that I didn't like was Mabel Albertson. She was the most condescending person who was overly critical of Samantha, and she was jealous of and resented Endora. Agnes Moorehead, on the other hand, was one of the most versatile and talented actresses of the 20th century. She usually upstaged most of the leading ladies that she starred with. She added the spice and excitement to the show. The comic relief was added by the extremely funny and nutty Paul Lynde. His dry sense of humor also added a touch of adventure. Overall, Bewitched was one of the best and most entertaining sitcoms of its time. I still like watching reruns of Bewitched.

Watching the reruns now ! Never understood the appeal of Dick York ( although sorry for his health issues ) as a child I remember being relieved another Darron came on board ~ they seemed much better matched
Love Aunt Clara, Tabatha & of course Samantha … now interesting to see the cultural changes of gender roles & diminutive & sexualized roles of women in the show
But fun to see the costumes, Endora‘s great costumes & fun fun magic ~ quite nostalgic to re-visit the show 🤩

Absolutely it still holds up, but they need to make a new one with updated effects with real people. I hear they're using animation for the next one. Not a good idea in my opinion.

First of all, so called "Dick Sargent" wasn't his real name. There was nothing wrong with his actual birth name, Richard Stanford Cox. He obviously "sold out" his birth name because of the shallowness of the entertainment industry?! Most likely the change was made as the result of a greedy Business Manager, with perceived notions of greater recognition accompanied with monetary gains? In reality, it's also shows blatant disrespect for one's parents & their family heritage, just to possibly obtain (not earn) a greater buck?!

I loved Bewitch!!!! I loved anything to do with Witches and Halloween. Named my black cat after Samantha. One of my all time favorites!!!

One of the most entertaining, fabulous shows ever. The editing, cuts from scene to scene, music, sound effects, campiness, on and on. Eudora’s and Serena’s wardrobes made the show worth watching. A lot of colorized versions of the first two seasons are out there now, but I love watching them in black and white as they were intended. The color starting with season 3 was amazing. That was the first year all prime time programming was in color. People had spent $400 to $800 on a color TV, which would be the equivalent of about $3,500 to $6,000 in today’s money, so they expected beautiful vivid colors, and this show delivered. One can notice each piece of wardrobe and furnishings are perfectly color coordinated. That’s what makes the computerized coloring of the first two seasons so offputting.

One of the best things about the vintage sitcom is that they weren’t particularly politically correct. The Christmas episode where the cast wore dark makeup is a perfect example. There’s a moral to this story that even a child can understand. It was practically a PSA for tolerance and forgiveness rarely seen on TV at present.

I like it more now than when it first aired on TV in the sixties. I don’t care much for current TV, movies, music, and whatever other crap “they” are putting out these days. I’m looking forward to celebrating my 79th birthday soon and will probably watch an episode or two of Bewitched on that day. I also like the Munsters, I Dream of Jeannie, The Addams Family. No Shakespeare thanks. 😊

I loved the serie very very much. I really wonder if/why«Agnes Morehead/ENDORA»won(or not)any awards: She simply was absolutely more than a supporting character in that serie.
I think«BEWITCHED»could be popular in year2023as well cause; it was about MAGIC and people all around the world no matter what age or gender LOVE MAGIC!; See how worldwide popular was the«HARRY POTTER»films! 👍🍀😍

Lets also point out that the show was all about women. It wasnt about the guys at all. So, l lets stop this glass ceiling sh!t. Apart from Aunt Clara only men were shown as useless half-wit, sexist buffoons. And even when Sam did anything wrong Darren was relegated to the couch. I hope men stand up for themselves now days and if a woman is wrong she get the couch. Would LOVE to see that in movies, TV and cartoons which are so misandrist.

Mum recently showed me Bewitched and we just finished watching the show. I loved the show, despite how dated it was, but wow they really kept repeating the same stories over and over to a frustrating extent while keeping the characters the same with no development. Definietely a frustrating but charming show

It holds up. I still prefer Dick York to Dick Sargent. There also was greater romantic chemistry between Montgomery and York.

This show helped me regain my speaking skills after I suffered a stroke in 1998. I truly loved this sitcom and now that we are in the technological era, I watch Bewitch on You Tub. I miss all of the characters, Erin Murphy (Tabitha now 52) was just adorable. Please keep this show on if only in reruns on the internet.
