Women’s body deteriorate faster then men. It’s a fact and there’s multiple science based studies backing up my “claim”. Any department focusing on recruiting women will become an exterior fire department. There’s a fine line between being selfish and selfless when “wanting” your dream job because it doesn’t matter how bad you “wanted” this job when you end up being the reason someone died because you couldn’t drag them out a basement.

So I love your content and the majority of this video too. I do however want to say as a man that has been in the fire service for two decades now mental health is always important even in the middle of a fire.

i dont want female firefighters. why? because 9 time out of 10 i know they cant pull my big ass out of a fire. a police officer? an EMT? sure go for it, but not in a job where you need to lift several times your own body weight in a dangerous environment. (i.e. a burning building)

This year me n so many of my employees saved by fireman in a burning building. We were stuck in 7th floor n fire reached 6th floor. It was horrible!!
If that day woman send to rescue us then we r finished for sure.
This brave man saved my n many of our lives. How dare they involved here when they don’t have the body, strength, mental n physical fitness to do this incredible life saving job.

Completely agree with the situation. It makes no sense to exclude a gender when trying to do a gender equality conference. But yes, women can be firefighters and good ones at that. We offer different things than men. We are held to the same physical standards as men, so yes, we can still pull you out of the building.

At least wildland firefighters have somewhere to retreat to. What about us interior attack Firefighters who go inside a burning building to extinguish your home and MAY NEED TO SAVE YOUR LIFE. As a Volunteer Firefighter & Medic (30 YEARS and still active) I have trained with a total of forty three volunteer and FULL TIME CAREER female firefighters ALL UNDER 30 YEARS OF AGE most are officers. ONLY ONE was capable of dragging me in Class B's (street clothes) NO AIR-PACK only 10 feet on a flat floor. Meanwhile, I'm In my early 50's I can drag a 250-300 pound person in full gear and pack (an additional 80-100 lbs to their body weight) FIFTY FEET by myself. I will watch a house burn to the foundation. I refuse to go interior with a female firefighter because I refuse to delete myself.

So, idk if you realize it, but in the National Parks, even though they are part of provinces and territories landwise, everything is dictated and overseen by the federal government. Especially by unelected morons in favour with whatever federal government in office. You know the kind, with ridiculous life-long pensions when they retire, even if they barely ever work (or worked). So remember that Justin Trugroper and his office of flunkies are currently ruining everything possible while in power. Whilst entrenching Liberal zealots in every aspect of our governing organizations to effectively ruin Canada 🇨🇦. They're overwhelming everything with overreaching DEI policies, massive numbers in federal employment who are now beholden to the (federal) Liberal state and for their livelihoods (as in continued voting favour). Meanwhile, the average person is being bankrupted every day just getting groceries and paying their bills. I had a relative who worked for a provincial government who, before he retired, HAD MORE THAN 20 WEEKS VACATION A YEAR! They had amazing retirement pensions, health/dental/ prescription benefits packages, sick days, mental health days, paternity leave on par with women who literally give birth, and- and - AND!

Exactly. When people try to make a point, and something goes wrong, hey deserved to be criticized by the group and others they were trying to prove to. I am a firefighter IRL and I sadly work with 2 girls sometimes at my station. We had a patient that had a cerebro-vascular accident and she was a fat lady laying on a very small tub in a small bathroom. Two female coworkers decided to struggle for minutes before taking her out rather than letting me lift the patient. In a cerebro-vascular accident minutes are precious. Sad sad USA I live in.

Try being a Cop going into a bar fight with a female cop who doesn’t even come up to the patch on your sleeve tiny! Why that happened, won the fight but still got my butt kicked and a ER visit!

I considered doing that one year in college but then I considered that I am small and I knew that I could be a deficit for a team and that was unacceptable to me. Sorry ladies and yet not…but we can’t do everything. Not ashamed. Proud I could set aside my ego and unrealistic desires.

In certain circumstances, there really isn't an alternative to brute male strength. That said, I did read about a female firefighter in the UK who was the only person small enough to crawl under a crashed train through blood and body parts to search and rescue trapped but still living people. There are also female military personnel who are flying drones and it is known by specific metal tests they outperform men in concentration, risk assessment and target selection. They are better because female brains are better than men at that specific task.

As a firefighter, i had 2 females with me in a training exercise, we took one line in into the fire. We found one dummy weighing 60k witch isn't a real person weight, on way out im carrying out the dummy and pulling the charged hose. The 2 girls are carrying the tic, a hand held thermal camera and the other a tool. Disgusting, tgey can't do the job. Facts

This is why women shouldnt be allowed im the fire service or urban search and rescue i got 19 years of service and i have severe PTSD and me and my men are still out there kicking fucking ass and kicking down doors and we dont burden no one with our mental health women fucking do

My son has been a Rough Terrain Wildland Firefighter, Crew Boss/Engine Boss. He has trained many female Wildland Firefighters and has had a few on his crews. He has had to tell many they couldn’t pass the tough training tests and Wildland Firefighters heavily depend on each other, so they can take training guidelines with them, workout and try again next year. A couple were trained as dispatchers, but only 2% nationwide pass. He has one incredibly tough, well trained female Firefighter on one of his crews.
