Hey tankenstein, i came from GTA using the modern jets (for dogfighting) and even have been test driving the modern jets in war thunder. In my opinion, the beginner planes are too slow and dont have enough firepower. I want to buy a premium vehicle thats in one of the top tiers because i think i can handle the controls alot easier than the beginner planes. Do you think i should do it? Please give me an aircraft suggestion since i dont care which country its in.

Not really a tip, more of a heads up. Anytime you use one of those + 250% Silver Lions booster, prepare to lose the match or not get any kills. Those things are cursed.

another tip is if ur at high tier with thermals some tanks with thermals have commander thermals and they are high on top of tank and are nice for spoting the enemy then peeking to shot, plus they have alot more zoom than main gun and wider view

I have one make sure not to take it too seriously its a game sometimes il like getting a realy fast little tank on a hilly map and just fly around it like a maniac trying to make aerial jump shots on targets i rarely ever do but its fun all the same

The thing that really helped me was every time I got killed I pinned one thing that I did wrong. After alot of grinding I learned to see the mistakes before I made them.

So I’m a very aggressive player and I just unlocked a 4.7 BR heavy tank and I suck at it and my other tanks are 3:4 which mostly can’t penetrate other tanks. Should I change my heavy tank and use a different tank?

When I ambush a tank I always wait for the last one and wait for him to be at a certain distance away and then I shoot the last guy. After that I kill the rest

My rule is if you buy a vehicle, make sure you have at least 1 vehicle of that BR too.

I've invested 10 days / 50 hours on free to play.
The grind has not left me enthusiastic. If you happen to be from Gaijin, your strategy failed to capture or inspire me to want to spend real money on your game.

I am on soviet 5.3 BR. I still take my 2.7 Su-122. It is one of my most successful vehicles. I can more easily kill a Tiger or a Panther in it than I can in my IS-1.

CAS players get rid of your bombs/rockets before dogfighting and if you see a CAP point being taken attack. If the enemy tank/vehicle completes the capping of the point then it will usually take considerable effort to win it back and if there are only a few players left in the game time may run out.

Yeah binos are very useful. And in 4.0-6.0 if you learn how to shoot from binos it can make you invincible. I use it on my VK from distance and man it's so good

I really wish there was a solo play vs computer to hone your skills as soon as I get In A real match, I get one shotted before I even fire a shot!

I'm glad that my favourite rank is 3-4 with early jets.. despite playing this game for like... 10 years tbh. 3-4 Rank is where you'll probably get most fun. You get solid mid-war to late-war vehicles on all nations, you don't need to deal with unbalanced BS that is top tier.. not really bitching about the F14 but honestly. MiG-25 Foxbat would be great as it was designed to counter F14s. Not MiG-29 because then, you'd have to fight against F15s since again, both planes were developed to fight each other.. guess most people wouldn't like that lmao

I bought the leo 2a4 pzbtl 123 when I was 3.0 in Germany, 30 days of premium later and I’ve got every vehicle but the Leo 2a6, my prem ran out now I’ve got to earn the last 100k rp lol I saved 5 million sl from the premium time so I’m set for a while. But the only reason it was successful was literally hours and hours of Tankenstein and spookston videos to learn weak spots and just how to play top tier (flanking is the play to do every game 😂)

Without laser rangefinder I usually battle sight my tank cannon to the distance of one range square on the map. With this you can snapshot without thinking about elevation and get kills within 4 to 500 m easily

Warthunder is awsome. Its like hatelove. You gotta play it but you get really upset. I have alot of tanks BUT they suck at warthunders br rating in matches. Jeeez you meet tanks that are 200% better than yours. Sometimes there is modern tanks when you are in a ww2 tier and br. I mean come on wtf gaijin. Worst thing is about this game is that it is VERY unbalanced in br rating. And matchups.

I don't understand what the point of line ups when people say "they support each other" its not like you can play them at the same time to protect each other in the match. Please explain what does it mean when a line up supports eachother

If you have a perfect shot on a enemy don't come out in the open to kill it he has a friend nearby that will kill you before you get your shot off also if you do get the shot off and don't kill it RUN don't sit and look at it like i do🤣

When in the dessert, stay in between the dunes when traveling don't sit on top of hills or on inclines for very long your a sitting duck

As someone that's only played for two weeks here's some new player tips...
1) this is not a team game. You're on a team, but team play is non existent.
2) Aggressive = dead....Trust me. I'm very aggressive and realized I had to slow down because there is no team support. Once I stopped going in guns blazing I went from bottom of team to top 5.
3) Never expect tactical play. I.e. you rush past the CP, draw fire and leave it open for a cap. Nobody will cap. And support.
4) If you're former military, just expect massive tactical stupidity. You are alone.
5) You are alone amongst your team. Accept it.

My personal tip is uninstall the game and spend time with family before they leave you 😥

one piece of advice I would give is that if you feel angry and such get a nimble tank/car and try to get to places you shouldn't in matches, makes you relax more by not thinking about the battle
