I noticed some of these are listed as "hydraulic". Is there any real advantage of the hydraulic versus these?

Once you mount the closer to the door jamb use a level on top of the closer, before mounting bracket on the door, will work better and last longer.

Rarely do I watch a "how to video" like this that is clearly understood and I didn't have to watch it again and again. This guy wasn't out to impress anyone with the bells and whistles. Just the things you need to do to install the closer. From 0-10, I give him a 12.

I have a screen door that has a lot of tension when opening, and retracts quickly before slowly down with the pneumatic pump. once the pump regulates the door close, it works as expected, slow and fully closes. so it’s annoying to open because it takes a significant amount of strength and slams back at you. any suggestions? i figure i may just need to get a new closer.

I did it myself. Find Stodoys quickly. if you want to do that.

Make sure the door is closed when you install the door bracket, if it's open, as I learned the hard way, you're screwed. He does it right in the video, just doesn't emphasize this point enough. Good video, though.

Good video. I was following along your video installation, but it was unclear what size of screws to place them on the shock and doors. I had different size screws that came with packet, but no instructions. Yes it was new.

I unpinned the closer from the bracket and turned the closer clockwise and then counterclockwise. Neither direction of turns helped the door shut properly. Your video was the 3 rd vid i saw, and the only video out the three that showed the adjustment screw! Lol
