Just got fucked up for the first day in bjj. where kind I find a video explaining these fundamentals?
ОтветитьThank you. Our fundamentals professor says all the time that he understands we feel that a lot of the drills, hip escapes, scissor sweeps, etc seem boring and repetitive, but like you said it's building a foundation that without it you will get smashed by higher ranks. I survived my first 7 minute roll with a brown belt who was massively strong and although he carried me, also challenged me and without some of the basics I wouldn't have made it all 7 mins. Fundamentals are everything.

ОтветитьSoooo what are the fundamentals/foundation.. where can I find these
ОтветитьI’d say framing is the #1 principle to know and focus on. Knowing how to frame without pushing and therefor expending energy is like a cheat code. It’s great to know lots of submissions, escapes, and passing…but if you don’t know how and when to frame you will be too tired to perform any of these when rolling.
ОтветитьI am 28 years old just doing BJJ for 9 months. I regret not starting 10 years ago. Still I feel like I want to rush things… but my mind is on the life long BJJ. Oss 👊🏻
ОтветитьMIKEY I think people don't like you/are irritated with you because of your voice bro. Nails on a chalkboard. Just a thought. Keep on trucking bro.
Ответитьso no imari rolls oj first day of practice
ОтветитьWell said Mikey , as a white belt focus on foundations first!
ОтветитьAs a white belt, my first few months were spent just getting into positions and then trying to figure out where my limbs were, then trying to keep track of where their limbs were.
I'm still a white belt, but I think it helped.
But seriously bad coordination... Haha
How old is this guy? He comes across as an excitable 16 year old but he's already been doing Jujitsu for 20 years! Wonderful advice, BJJ is a lifestyle not something you finish after 2 years.
ОтветитьDefinitely agree with both! Overtraining especially! So easy to push yourself too hard. Slow & steady wins the race!
ОтветитьSo young yet so passionate about BJJ!
ОтветитьTraining 20 years? He looks 20 years old. Thanks for the video!
