Ответитьstories like these only make me think about the poor innocent victims of guys like that. Our soldier gets maimed or killed. Their civilians get the same. Then I think that the blame of that soldier isnt even half of those politicians and corporations that send our soldiers to go get killed murdering their civilians.
And all we have to say for it are platitudes like 'thank u for ur service'. The shame of even comparing the 'service' of our soldiers fighting the nazis with the 'soldiers' murdering civies overseas only for the color of their skin in a forever war that sinks trillions of our taxdollars instead of paying our citizens more and building our infrastructure, etc.
@evilMOog YOU are a hero! Brought some wetness to my face...
ОтветитьJack!! i hope youre doing great boss! your videos are seriously amazing. Im gonna share them to x so more people can find this gem of an account.
ОтветитьEven before evilmog walked through the impact he had on that soldier, I said out loud as I sit here alone, he saved that man's life. There is no doubt in my mind about that. There's a reason the statistics is 22 a day.
It's an unfortunate reality and all to many vets feel like a burden to their families. As a vet myself, if you're having a hard time reach out. Our families need us. It took a lot of therapy and help to flip that switch in my head from feeling like a burden to realizing that I may need to move heaven and earth for my family one day, and I'm gonna do everything I can to be there in that moment.
Thanks for sharing this story Jack. Too many people in the military do amazing things that have an impact that changes lives. Because of that man, a woman has a husband, a child has a father, a mother has a son, and most importantly a life has a purpose. Be kind to each other.
I think I was deployed during the same time period as this guy. Glad you made it home brother!
Ответитьlast story is a good tale of caution, a whole chain of misapplied trust from bank to senior to junior to some program, everyone taking it on faith the next thing in line will do the right thing.
ОтветитьI hope one day we get a story where a pentester gains access to a user account and it's an actual insider threat XD
Ответитьdamn, the story of that guy who was becoming a dad and got setup with a videocall with his wife made me wept fr.
ОтветитьI missed your voice.
ОтветитьGreat Episode.
ОтветитьFor the last story I'm surprised they didn't turn it into an opportunity. "It may have been a typo on our part but your network should not be able to be completely brought down by one interface flooding everything" or something.
ОтветитьAfghanistan This country is still in war
ОтветитьThat scam is the first story, he ripped off the bank the bonds and the land and then threaten the bank to ruin their reputation unless they paid him to not talk? That is just insane! I freaking love it!
ОтветитьI used to get a horrible empty feeling when we were on minimise.
ОтветитьNew NSA chef here, I'd love to talk 😊
ОтветитьCould you check out the story about the kid that hacked nasa looking for ufo pictures and leaving messages about how their it security sucked the us wanted him deported from the uk
ОтветитьLinks for mini stories vol. 1/2 ?
ОтветитьGreat one
ОтветитьPlot twist the guy did own the camera and he used a voice filter to fake hr.
ОтветитьGood old IRC-times, when most have only dial-up and with couple of friends could easily ping someone out and take over nick/channel, just for shit and giggles.. No such thing as DDoS back then, or atleast never heard of it.
ОтветитьThe joke at the end 😂😂
Dad joke for sure
Is their somewhere I can get more of these stories I watch everything on this page. We need more
ОтветитьYeah. That story made ME cry too, and I had to share it with MY friends, too.
ОтветитьI for some reason was unsubscribed from this channel and had notifications turned off? Does anyone know how this may have happened?
Ответитьwho usa just pay 10 million ransomeware
ОтветитьThanks for the vid jack! I love when you go deeper into the methods and software these tech specialists use and soemtimes glaze over.
For ppl like me who don’t have that deeper understanding, I love learning the deeper details of these methods/tools!
Viktor Lustig literally called himself "funny"... that's what his assumed surname means in German.
ОтветитьSome Nigerian guy “sold” an airport.
ОтветитьI've said before that I'm from the UK and we don't have the same late-night talk-radio as I assume some parts of America has. I'm just guessing from pop culture. Even though when these videos come out for me during the daytime, that's the vibe I get. That voice keeping you company and guiding you home. A lot of your stories are varied, fun and fascinating but some of the Penetration Tests have been the best ones.
ОтветитьHe thinks he saved one life, but he has no idea that he saved 3, at least. The mom's, the baby's and his.
ОтветитьBoth stories had me glued to the speaker, thank you!
ОтветитьI loved every second
ОтветитьThanks Jack
ОтветитьShouldn't salting password hashes defeat the brute forced hash method?
ОтветитьWho remembers the episode or title of the darknet diaries episode that had to do with furries
Ответитьjack, your vids always have various effects on me, but this one made me cry too bro..hit me square in the feels
ОтветитьYay! Another episode!
ОтветитьOne time I guessed a forum user's password first try without any context or help, I just intuited it. Once in, I quickly got distracted by being in, but looking back now I can't understand how I was able to... It wasn't like a common word either, I wish I coulcould remember it or the mental space I entered to intuit it.
ОтветитьVery cool, genuine thing he did, not so evil, lol!
ОтветитьThanks Jack!!!!
ОтветитьJack, I want to hear more stories like that one about the junior pentester that made that mistake that almost got him and probably his 'mentor' fired. Why? Mistakes are made, and I would be really, really surprised that there weren't many of those stories that people don't tell for obvious reasons. My point: Production and real life are different from training labs. I've been itching to get my first job in Cybersecurity but also get so nervous when I think about what can happen because of the actions I take. I'm not a cyber security expert but have a good number of years in IT in various capacities and oh yes, $hit will happen and how you handle them is what will make the difference. Great episode btw.
ОтветитьYipee another Jack Rhysider video!!
ОтветитьI saw you at the DefCon Jeopardy game :D :D you're so cool! I thought I'd do great in the category but the only answer I could remember was Dolphin haha
When you interviewed EvilMog there, were you hiding behind a shower curtain?? hahaha
Welcome back to the Goat
ОтветитьCome on Jack, keep pumping these beauties out
ОтветитьI really want you to talk about the Mirai botnet or the qbot botnet
Ответить
