Just bought mine yesterday!!

My son fell in love with the early MKIII's after seeing my '90 Probe GT finally out of the garage not being the shelf everyone used it for and washed and looking as it should. He did an Instagram search for that era of 2 door hatch and found the MKIII Supra. I found him an '87 Turbo Targa and got home a KILLER DEAL on it and I got to liking the lines and such so well I also bought one😁🤣😂.

My guess on why we didn’t get the 1jz is that they didn’t want to invest in getting an engine to meet us regulations for a car that was getting replaced soon and not selling well. We only had one car that would have had the 1j

5 years is a long time for this owner. But , I Just wanted to say I am the original owner of a 1988 White w/Blue interior Toyota Supra with a targa roof in excellent condition which has treated me very well. Did not realize what I purchased at the time. love my MKIII !

I own a 1988 MA70. 7M turbo auto trans. It is still fun to drive. It may lack some power compared to a 2JZ but I like the style of the MA70. It is getting some suspension upgrades at present. The TEMS doesn't work well after 34 years!!! Enjoy your cars guys.

I found one online for under 10k it's automatic and only a two hour drive away I'm fresh out of highschool and going to start working and I wanna save up and see if it's still for sale by the time I have enough I love jdm cars and want a nice non race daily driver that's not a manual because I can't drive manual YET! I do plan on learning tho if you see or if anyone sees this let me know what I should do

My red 1990 turbo targa supra was a beast. I miss it , and watch videos like this from time to time when I long for it.. Absolutely solid card. If you want to get from L.A to New York as fast and as comfortably as possible. Get one of these , slammed with a performance tune pushing 350 hp. Damn I miss it. 😕

Real car guys don’t compare the MK3 with MK4, they enjoy every version of the Supra equally, even the BMW. Let’s be grateful that these cars exist. Same goes with every version of the GTR.

Everything is better than A80 Supra! She is fast sport car only in Holywood movies and people's imaginations and dreams! Her predececor A70 outclass her in absolute everything and that's Toyota Racing Division Official Statement ...

Did you know they have electric suspension, it’s just like coil overs

I had the following issues with my '88 NA: Blown head gasket, overheated, wiring shorts (doin 90 on the highway and ALL juice went away. Gauges, spark plugs, everything!), AC refused to hold refrigerant, front end under braking would vibrate.....badly.....after new front brakes and ball joints, Cab WOULD NOT HOLD WATER OUT! I couldn't visit an automatic car was without getting wet. And I would buy another one tomorrow.

Those 7m engines have a stroker kit you use to be able to get for them. They were very popular in boat racing.

most people when they look at this car, they have absolutely no idea what it is they are actually looking at ... the change in style is drastic from the MK3 to the MK4, its almost like they're completely different cars... I've always preferred the 90's Japanese square box style cars, Mercedes evo 2's, E30 m3's, Silvia's and so forth ... this car is just another great example of that era
