You should put a battery in it and turn it into a portable pc.
Ответитьna-no
ОтветитьWhere can I buy this ready modified? It will fit my bag easy
ОтветитьI love the case design! It somehow reminds me of the Mac Pro with the ventilation holes.
ОтветитьApple isn't too bright, wasting so much on development cost and raw material. Folks, slimming down is the way to go, avoid using unnecessary raw material.
ОтветитьNice build but a brass enclousure would have looked AMAZING. That's a job for DIY Perks!
Ответитьelectricity wants to travel along the edges of a wire, having more surface area to transmit is pretty cool.
ОтветитьMac mini handheld when????
ОтветитьSize of a raspberry pi... now how about the price of a rpi
ОтветитьHow much would you ask to do it again?
ОтветитьExactly what I thought must be possible, shame on you Apple. But hey, maybe Apple did this on purpose, to justify future improvements or form factor reduction, and asking for more money obviously, when it could have been done today.
ОтветитьWhat's the final weight of your design?
ОтветитьI would rather they just bring over the apple tv case to the mac linup, you can have both versions still with a apple tv focused model without the m series chips in it and then have a m series version designed to run mac os. Would allow apple to offer a really budget system in the $400-500 price point and get even more people into there mac eco system.
ОтветитьI'd really love to see what this looks like with an Ultra.
ОтветитьThere might just be one day, that Apple starts to sell SBC with M1.
Ответитьfun and smart look at what apple should be doing, cant believe how huge and heavy the m2 macbook pro 14 inch is, i prefer my air for all travel work as a result... and the newer more power laptop is hardly used
ОтветитьThis guy is the kind guy who thinks he’s cool an smart but gets crushed by a car while doing an oil change.
ОтветитьOnly now do I realize Quinn was prototyping the compute pack (no battery) for the XR headset ? 🤔
ОтветитьHi,Quinn. Hello, my name is Xander, and I am a fan from China. When I saw your video about the 3D printed Mac mini, I became obsessed with the idea of owning one myself. I have already printed the necessary files using my school's 3D printer, but after carefully reading through the project, I have a few questions that I would like to ask you.
Do you have a link for the DC/DC power board? I tried searching for the Cypress PD board, but I could not find one that is the same.
How can I determine if the power pin for the M2 20-pin connector has been changed? (Because I plan to buy an M2 Mac mini)
Regarding the data cable for the 20-pin connector, did you cut it from the Apple power system interface or did you buy it online? If it's the latter, how can I search for it?
For using the MagSafe interface, can I use an Anker PD charger and a 2015 version MagSafe cable (MagSafe to Type-C), instead of using the Surface charger that you used in the video? @snazzyq
with external power! and lower power! bullshit
ОтветитьThe color is ugly. The so called fans who suggested Space Gray are full of it. GO WITH THE ELECTRIC BLUE. Bring back the orignial iMac Bondi Blue feeling or the Blueberry color that came after.
Ответитьis it actually 78% smaller or is it clickbait?
ОтветитьRemoving fan is not a good idea
Ответитьcool !!! cant wait for that mini Mini
ОтветитьMAC DOT sounds trendy.
ОтветитьThis would be perfect for the Mac Studio to give it the cheese grater look it deserved from the start!
ОтветитьNice grand Seiko
ОтветитьIs it possible to use the "TeraDak Pro linear power conversion module DIY DC12V for MAC MINI/Macbook, with silver-plated wire and triple filter" to replace the power supply unit of a Mac Mini, enabling it to be connected to a 12V output battery?
ОтветитьMac nano
Ответить@snazzy Hey, now that the new M2 series Mac Minis are out, do you think you might do an updated iteration of this minaturization project with the highest-spec M2 Pro Mac Mini? Maybe make a version of it that can shrink into the size of a PCI-E card and slot into a gaming PC’s vertical slot and take advantage of the cooling provided by the PC’s front fans?
ОтветитьThat beard, though.
ОтветитьThis is a weird question that is way too late to be answered. But would you be willing to share where your grey polo shirt is from? I would greatly appreciate it!
ОтветитьWhat is its weight? I'm really curious about it :)
ОтветитьMac mini in an apple tv case ... thats portable
ОтветитьThat was UGLY!
ОтветитьIf you add batteries to it that will be amazing
Ответитьdoes it work with intel mac mini because as you said the m1 chip need less cooling
ОтветитьHonestly, the only question I have after watching this, is "Why?" 🧐
ОтветитьSo cool.
Ответитьmac mini²
Ответитьdoes anyone know if the mac mini m2 has the same dimensions?
Ответитьthe did the latter lol
ОтветитьNice project. You could have provisioned some VESA compatibility so you can attach it to the back of a monitor and build a custom screen iMac of sort!
Ответитьthis is the "i want this but with a m2 pro mac mini inside" button
Ответитьmagsafe on a stationary PC without a battery :/ bad idea
ОтветитьIncredible :)
ОтветитьAppreciate your efforts, Though You can make another video of adding the type c/usb ports on the front side while keeping the power and hdmi port at back. I know almost every mac mini user struggles with that problem.
