Love the analogy! Treating your MVP like a first-grade paper – not the masterpiece of your life, but just the start – that's gold. This new angle really helps sidestep the usual MVP traps, like getting hung up on the details or striving for perfection right out of the gate. It's about progress, not perfection, and this mindset is a game changer!
ОтветитьThese startup examples are always software based rather than hardware. Building a MVP hardware simply can't be "shitty" it has to sell the vision and product.
Ответитьso my potiential start up would be an all girls charter school, what would be an example mvp, could it be curriculum?
ОтветитьWhy can't folks use clean language when teaching. The cursing is totally a turn off!
ОтветитьThis is a great class for me.
With my team, have to achieve our first Basic version to offer put on the market.
We are creating a new way to make business.
'I'm him' ~ This video. This is the best mvp explanation I've seen by a mile.
ОтветитьThe idea of MVPs sounds so good, but I'm not sure if its really meaningful to anyone besides investors. I once asked a large group of entrepreneurs if any of them ever use MVPs for their business. And no one said yes. I've never used anyone's MVP for anything. Mind you my target market is business owners and entrepreneurs. Perhaps when the target market is different, they do use MVPs. Anyone here use MVPs for anything important?
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThis is a great lecture! Thanks a lot!
We agree that gathering feedback after the launch of your product is crucial for its success and continuous improvement.
The most valuable feedback comes from unexpected sources. While it's essential to collect feedback from your target audience, don't overlook the potential insights that can be gained from "fringe users" or those who may not be your primary target market.
Fringe users often bring a fresh perspective, providing unique insights that can lead to innovative ideas and improvements. Their unbiased viewpoint can uncover hidden pain points or reveal new use cases that you may not have considered before.
Embrace the diverse range of perspectives and experiences that can enrich your understanding of user needs and preferences.
Thank you for sharing Michael ❤

Ответитьthis guy is amazing gives the best advice
ОтветитьWhat if you have a business product that sells. You have an mvp thats so so. Not good. Not terrible. But it’s reasonable. Do you just try and improve the mvp as best you can? I imagine that’s really all you can do right? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thx.
ОтветитьLove this guy! I am makin notes.
ОтветитьMe who has been working on my mvp for one and a half years: “Hmmm, yes very interesting”
Ответить“Fix the fucking screwdriver” is something that’s imprinted on my mind. Genuinely the most helpful advice I’ve gotten as a founder.
ОтветитьThere are some golden nuggets to be found here!
ОтветитьAs far as I'm concerned, this is the most precise and knowledge-filled MBA for an Hustler or Startup-hungry person. Dang! So good. Thants YC and Michael
ОтветитьI have been doing mvps for 4 years already, I have to say, no decent demo can be done within weeks, only landing page is possible ;).

ОтветитьFabulous, you are really ahead of your time. 🙂
ОтветитьLove you what the Advice 👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьBut what about building MVPs for a product that already exists in the industry? Just building a competitor to it (that hopefully will be better in some way).
Do you just give your user something that seems exactly just what the MVP of others is?
Love this Michael.. i am an early stage cofounder and often get confused with so much market research to be done, can u advice on how many users should I talk to? Appreciate it
Ответитьjust wondering, for example if we publish our MVP what if someone else copies the idea?
ОтветитьGreat video.
ОтветитьHe needs to stop cussing, it's unprofessional.
ОтветитьYour mouth is filthy. Please be respectful.
ОтветитьThanks for great info Michael.
ОтветитьStill not sure if MVP stands for most valuable player or something else
ОтветитьFantastic insights! Learned so much in such a short period of time! :-) 🙏
ОтветитьJust decided I will launch without payment system.
First customers are solely to help me figure out the problem.
Am I the only one who think his delivery is very poor and taking too much pause between words.
ОтветитьThank you for this video!

ОтветитьAwesome. Great advice.
ОтветитьTHIS IS LIT!
Ответить"Turns out launces aren't that special at all"
That rained on my parade while simultaneously shined light on it.
Thank you.
Startup is all about timing. Momentum. Building an MVP as soon as possible to validate its general idea is the best way to go. Failing is not the problem - failing slowly is the problem. One of the many keys to startup success is to fail FASTER, therefore learn FASTER how to adjust your product to its market.
Ответитьi prefer to ruminate on an idea, procrastinate, second guess, and never build it.
ОтветитьAwesome 👍 is it applicable in the African context
