One thing a successful retiree never discloses is how they got to realize that the key to amassing wealth lies in making sound investments. I purchased my first home at the age of 21 for $87,000 and sold it for $197,000. My second home, acquired for $170,000, was later sold for $320,000, and my third property, purchased at $300,000, fetched $589,000, with buyers covering all closing costs and expenses. Not reaching a million before retirement feels like an unfulfilled goal|.
ОтветитьI'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
Ответитьthis is so embarrassing but I am 32. I feel old and lost. and honestly can't face my situation in life. I know I can do so many things believe me But still I don't know what to do. I keep watching these kinds of content to give me hope and motivation but something in me is scared of the outcome. I can't concentrate. I can't even decide what should I do today. I don't have a job maybe I never had a job cause I can't remember when was the last time I worked. it's just a combination of self-hatred and disappointment. I need to change and I absolutely want to change and believe me I am trying but I don't know what's gonna happen and this bothers me a lot. It makes me sad.
ОтветитьYes, let's do it!
ОтветитьFirst-class! If this resonates with you, a corresponding book is the way to go. "The Hidden Empire: Inside the Private Worlds of Elite CEOs" by Adam Skylight
ОтветитьI am start up at 65. Cần you share experience with me? Thanks
ОтветитьThe greater the automated income you can build, the freer you will become. Taking the first step is the hardest, but 5 houses later living off automated income since July 6, 2016. You’ve got to start taking steps to achieve your goal.
ОтветитьThank you. I'm going to do it at 62. Been thinking about it for awhile.
ОтветитьThis was so good to watch!
ОтветитьIf you were a Director, and had a good background and education or experience .... you can start a business no problems...no matter how old you are. Try getting into a new career, unrelated to anything you done in the past, no matter how many "transferable skills" you need related experiences more than anything else...
ОтветитьAmazing 👍
ОтветитьInspiring!! Any websites or groups to connect or get more info?
ОтветитьI dare hypothesize that the wealth of life experience increases their chances of success. Great video.
ОтветитьI've been an entrepreneur much of my adult life, but the last ten years I dedicated to caring for ailing parents. Now, I'm trying to get back to me, and I'm far beyond hanging it up...just like you, I LOVE to work! I have several ideas on my plate. Now, I just need to decide which way to go. Thanks so much for the inspiration. I definitely want to be included in the elite group. Just let me know, when and where I need to go, and continue to learn and grow until the day I no longer can!
ОтветитьTypical blah-blah-blah Ted-talk. What do you do if you are over 50 and NOT an Entrepreneur?
ОтветитьHey tedx audience I'm a regular 23 y/o and let me tell you the pressure of being successful and having it figured out in your 20s is really a problematic thing so its really refreshing to see a older person be so enterprising and experienced
ОтветитьIt’s so motivating and meaningful for seniors that was laid-off by your company, because of age issue. You can found your own start-up business just like Paul, best luck to the seniors worldwide including me. I like the words: You’re never too late to stop dreaming, good luck!
ОтветитьI checked his company and it is amazing!!! keep up the good work!
ОтветитьVery inspiring
ОтветитьI don't understand more about the video.
However I figure out that:
- having a good background
- having a long deep experience with many positions.
I am 30 years old.
He probably had loads of connevtuins/networks and loads of cash
ОтветитьI am so glad I came across this TeD Talk! Paul I am so very pleased you made this. I was thinking of this same exact thing as I am looking to exit my career for more meaningful ventures. Thank you Paul!

ОтветитьWOW! "LORD GRACE IS THE GREATEST" WOW, WE SHOULD MAKE THE MOVE AT ANY AGE ESPECIALLY WHEN WE GET OLDER NEVER GIVE UP AS LONG AS THAT DAMN DEMENTIA DON'T COME NEAR US WE SHOULD KEEP KIKING.!!!!
SO MUCH, WISDOM, EXPERIENCE, AND UNDERSTANDING WE ACCUMULATE AND IT SHOULD NEVER GO TO WASTE!!!
IT TAKES FOREVER TO COMPLETELY MATURED!!!! LOOK AT BIDEN AS IF HE IS JUST BORN!!!!
Excellent!
ОтветитьExperience is everything. Nothing can replace that. When you're younger with a degree, fresh out of school, you're missing something substantial. Experience. That is gold!
ОтветитьThis is the most inspiring thought
ОтветитьThis is really inspiring! A great conversation starter among family and friends. There is quite a lot of pressure in society to have young enterpreneurs, as he said ages 40+ do have decades of experience and a lot more qualifications! Hopefully we can all bring our ideas and business management skills to build more sustainable companies, despite our ages.
ОтветитьSo inspiring!! Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьHats off to you sir🙌🏻🙌🏻 Truly an inspiration for me and many more.
Ответитьgreat experience ! sometimes I feel I started entrepreneurship a little late (at my 30s), I won't feel that way anymore. :)

ОтветитьWhy would anyone work until they are 64 ? I just want to smell the roses when I retire.
ОтветитьI really appreciate this Ted Talk video. I just turn 50 with work experience since I was 17 years old. I'm taking steps toward becoming a entrepreneur.

ОтветитьWonderful!
ОтветитьGo Paul Go!

ОтветитьTo be happy at what you do and feel that your contribution is meaningful, WOW it is the best feeling. Congratulations!
ОтветитьI have worked for over 40 years in the coated textile industry, I’m 63 I would like to something meaningful with my life besides working for someone else. I really don’t know where to begin.
ОтветитьWhere are the support groups for women entrepreneurs after 50?
ОтветитьThis really helps me,i'm 68 years old, been driving trucks over the road for over 40 years, retirement is not an option for me,i just have to find something i'm passionate about
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing your entrepreneurship journey at the age wich most people have lost their passion. It is so inspiring. I'm very grateful to have found your talk today. Wish you good health, happiness and successes.
ОтветитьThis is so motivational for me!!!!
