M1 vs M2 iPad Pro 2022 - ULTIMATE Comparison!

Hey great videos guys, but your graphs are not proportional to the actual percentage differences between the models. If there is a 60% difference in performance comparison, the graph’s should reflect that proportionately. Otherwise, you risk visually misleading people about that actual difference in performance.

For gaming the m2 is 3 times better.
With WiFi 6E, higher cup speed, higher GPU performance and better Bluetooth there is nothing to debate, iPad Pro m2 wins.

For other tasks then you could go for the m1 if you like cause it’s almost the same.

You can check all thé spec on apple compare noting as change apart the wifi 6E and the decoding pro res ... and the bluetooth i got the m1 in 2021 m'y kid threw it out the Window still work but screen a lil damage still went back and buy the same m1 ipad pro last week ❤

Why it's always seems like baised. I appreciate the content but why not 3dmark wild life stress test. It won't be able to keep its 60% performance. Why not that over here.

I’m out working in the USA at the moment and, on impulse really, I bought an M2 Max MacBook Pro 14 inch. Great bit of kit. I’m using the M1 iPad Pro… honestly can’t see any practical difference. I wanted to but just not seeing any real world difference. I’ve never used the M1 and thought, I WISH this was faster. It’s super quick. Mind you, I’m not a gamer. There’s a point of diminishing returns here I think. If you handed one person one iPad and another person the other, would they be able to tell the difference/ I think not. I wanted to want one but I just can’t and don’t.

Only reason we got a new M2 is we got an 11inch M1 at launch and love it but I wanted a bigger size my wife likes smaller so she took the 11inch M1 and I grabbed a 12.9inch M2 this is also replacing an Intel based air If apple would just catch up on software I would never have anything to miss about a MacBook

I don't know what this guy is talking about. iPad Pro M2 at full quality is not able to run Genshin Impact at 60fps. It's either reduced quality settings at 60fps or full quality at 30fps. I don't know where this guy got the 120 fps on Genshin Impact on M1 iPad Pro. That must have been a low settings.

Hey Vadim, not sure if you’re reading comments on older vids, but I heard that the SSDs in the new M2 iPad were slower. Is that the case, since your test didn’t seem to show it? What configurations are your iPads?

i got an m1 ipad pro 11 256g for about 550euro 2nd hand 1 year old. coming from a ipad from 2014 its kinda crazy :) so i would recommand look for a good deal because prices are crazy these days...

once fcp and lp officially released this june, everyone will go crazy with m1 ipad pro, man. not to mention the hover works fully on every m1s too including the air.

Not sure if I missed it but if you’re going to edit video the M2 has ProRes encoding which the M1 doesn’t which maybe useful to you

I was going to get M2 but it's WAYYY expensive and am not spending alot for that, indeed it's WAYY overpriced and I was going to get 10th gen but it only adds up to 256gb and that's really disappointing! So am currently thinking, " should I just use my Samsung to play games and buy 10th gen to journal " honestly I DON'T KNOW 😢 but they have a really good deal on amazon! I had a 2014 iPad Air that I’ve had for 9 years. Updates stopped a while back but I needed to upgrade as it was getting quite slow and dated. I found the iPad Pro 11 inch M1 on apples certified refurbished section for £639. What a steal, it’s perfect. So quick and the pro motion display is amazing. I feel very comfortable that this will last me 5+ years.

Which should I buy? $1,000 for an M1 12.9-Inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi + Cellular - 256GB (Unlocked) or $950 for an M2 12.9-Inch iPad Pro with Wi-Fi - 128GB? I mainly use the iPad for productivity and media consumption. Both are new.

Great video! From someone who’s in nursing school and upgraded to the 12.9 M2 from the 9th gen, the pencil hover is pretty nice. This helps with scanning the videos for school without having to actually move the video itself.
