BREAKING DOWN What Just Happened In That Division 2 DLC Ending...

I played this DLC over the course of several days, which really helped the Sarah Moretti scenes and audio logs sink in before hitting me hard with the reveal that she betrayed us and actively joined one of the worst gangs (and later Black Tusk).

When you get towards the end of the final mission, a line something to the effect of "they are shipping this stuff out of state", might that be a tip of the hat to Div 3 possibly being set in the Heartlands. Being that Heartlands was cancelled, might they transfer those assets etc into Division 3?

Would be nice to have a replayable content piece for the attack on the Bridge as a survival mode

Curious about the manhunt do you think that icon means the black tusk have or are trying to upgrade Diamond ?

Guess now I have Hunters to deal with. I enjoyed the story but it feels so sudden with no objective to follow after Army Terminal.

So, there was actually one other big reveal you didn't bring up and that is the SMR you find about halfway into the mission;

As Theo says, just WTF do they need a Nuclear reactor for anyway?! It wasn't the Zeppelin, or it would have already been on board with it also they had all those scientists there as well...

Ngl, I was starting to get Metal Gear vibes and expecting just a giant mech.

Hopefully S7 continues this plot.

my critique to the dlc is how it ends so abruptle, you have the reveal that BT is behind everything and then it ends 10min later, one more mission with more context and a better fight against the zepellinm would make the story sop much better, it felt rushed to just have the reveal and end things there with an underwhelming boss fight

FYI: Sarah Moretti and her husband and kid were the family that Keener saved in WONY. As for the DLC itself--I loved it. I got rather a lot for my $15.

Rogue Gold you should go back to your original nostalgia theme intro because of the Brooklyn dlc.... would be epic!!!!

As a die hard fan of the franchise, of course I would have liked a lengthier dlc but I still loved the content: the new narrative, the location, the different approach to control point, the purple flame... And still the Hunters to deal with! This DLC is the test for Ubisoft: if it is a success it could open to more content. And please, give us Heartland 😅🙏

I absolutely loved the Brooklyn DLC and it was worth every penny. Finished it but will be going back regularly to play it. It’s a lot of fun.

3 years of development for 3 hours of gameplay. I enjoyed the process, but man. The size and scope was very disappointing.

Considering that Ubisoft was pulling the plug on the division whole stop a few years ago, the whole re hiring of the team, game was supposed to be dead by all accounts and not in the hahaha dead game sense. It was let's just do seasons and see if we can get funding from investors or the doors close deal. I liked the expansion and story. I picked it up again with gamepass and it was, frustrating lol. I was confused with what all was going on most of the time being a casual fan of the game and last time I played keener was the manhunt. I don't know if it was just me, but it felt like they tried to rail road the story more than before for potential future content. I had no issue with the doing missions in their order, what I also noticed was the AI feel way more aggressive than before. I played it solo on a fresh 40 boosted character and felt I was over whelmed often, every mission. The NPC AI just felt way more aggressive, it would run up on you with 2 sometimes 3 shield guys at once, the robo dogs with purple flame chased you behind cover, while you transitioned cover, you just constantly had AI rushing you and flanking more than ever. Which lead to a lot of frustration and getting overwhelmed. Those moments happened often.

I just got back into the game, so my knowledge is limited. One thing I really liked in comparison with how the rest of the game feels is the combat choices. Unless I am mistaken, the rest of the game feels like there is a brief respite between waves of enemies. The BFB campaign kept the action going. Like there was no time to rest between waves. Was a nice change of pace.

If you talk to the guy who allows you unlock skills SHD tech one of the tabs in that menu is a staff roster. Doc Summers's page has been updated with his portrait being grayed out. And text has been added under his description to state he was a double agent for the black tusk and that kelso killed him.

Im so glad the game was more linear this time. The previous format of having all the missions available only level based literally did the games (both Divisions) no favors because you basically were doing in them in a linear format anyways because of levelling, but they were unable to present a logical "we are doing this mission because of your actions here."

Ive always found the Power Plant level in Division 1 very weird because I cant figure out if the people in charge of the plant are doing what they are doing because the Rikers leader (i forgot her name) ordered them to do it, or if they are doing it because they are so angry that I killed her. As I usually kill her before I do that mission.

Similar with the Keener reveal in Division 1, where he has his face scrambled and Im like "wait that is the guy I found Echos and Comms for like 6 hours ago, why is his face scrambled? I already know who he is. (seriously I was so confused when I did that mission because I had already uncovered so many of his echos and Comms by that point)

My only complaint is that it feels very... I dont know low stakes? So im comparing this to the only other DLC we had Warlords which is about killing Keenr, the buggy man for like two games now. This DLC was about doing the same with we have done at any other settlement. It didnt really feel important until the printer reveal at the end. I just wish it could have had a LITTLE more impact on the story. (Having Keener or Kelso involved would have really helped here)

I thought it was good, with one aggravating exception.
Invincibility mechanics are utter crap. That bull with Sarah having a "I can ignore you" shield that you have to disable twice really just ticked me off. It's a lazy game design mechanic and should not ever be used in my opinion.
But shrug it is what it is.
Overall I was and am quite happy with the DLC.

sum part like teh Rat Queen fight was bull$h!t .. jsut insta-killed 4-5 x.. no clear indication waht we had to do on that boss... the final BTSU shit. also a laser murauder.. come th fukk on... so Scifi. dont like it!!!!

Why they building a zeppelin tho? I cant imagine black tusk aint got the ressources to equip a bomber or jet with the purple flame and literally airstrike the bridge. Even with a reaper drone

Honestly, I finished all the missions in less than a day, all the hunters as well. Now I just go back every so often to bang my head against that laser quad-copter, so it can deny me another mask drop... it was fun, but it really doesnt meet the hype imo. Open world games need scale and explorable easter eggs, lots of them (see Red Dead 2 which I still play single player, maybe not on that level, but at least keep it interesting)..hopefully if they expand this or the div 3 comes out, the scale is there.

For me - why is keener still locked up, manny has been able to now speak to Kelso,Theo, Schafer then by now they’ve corroborated his story so we now he’s no bull*******!?

Unless I missed it, that zeppelin releases a load of mini drones that then seemingly just fly off - where did they go?

We definitely need some content explaining why keener had the eclipse virus made, and he attacked (city hall was it🤔) and the fort in WONY etc, surely it want just a test, surely there was some functional reason he used it when & where he did (if we’re now to believe that keener isn’t the big bad he was originally being made out to be)!?!?

Maybe we could get some content that explains that those locations housed hidden hunter bunkers - something that explains why keener chose to do what he did where he did?🤷‍♂️

I know there’s a popular theory that keeners only at the White House because he wants to be, and there’s some form of hidden agenda he’s got going on, plus there was those SHD watches he went to the trouble of getting hold of for “the new recruits” that are just seemingly there doing nothing🤔. We had that cut scene from ages ago now where there was that console with lots of SHD watches attached to it that have also seemingly come to nothing (so far anyway)

Fair play to the team to make a dlc this short that draws you in so much I loved the final boss fight however I think they will do the didn’t see them die so they ain’t dead he will just turn up with burns or sum crap 😂

Hey Rogue, I personally love(d) it. The problem is, when you're starving, you'll eat a Sh-t sandwich. When I say that, I'm mostly being funny, I really did/do/am enjoying it. I will for the next year or two or five. 😉. I would be happy if they came out with something like this every 4-6 months. Twice a year. We'd play this forever (I feel) if they had content to keep us interested. No? Your Thoughts??

i really like the change of scenery and the colors and the ambience of brooklyn is just really good.

Fact Check; The Purple Flame was made by Matthew Grant who himself was a Cleaner… Cleaners handled all the production so its their invention

Just got back into Division 2 after years away...forgot how fun it is. Created a new character to play from the start.
Can't wait for Division 3!

It wasn’t a bad dlc. Definitely better than WONY, the vibe was much better. Just felt like they skipped context here and there

I've not watched this. But I get to finishing the DLC t some stage. I cleared to FoW for Brooklyn first then completed the first 2 missions. I then got distracted with the season journey which I have almost completed. Oh and the man hunt, done. Lots going on.

just have to say. Lud is a cool gun. Hits hits good, set up a 1.3 armor striker build with the nimble holster, obliterate chest. Really looking forward to what it can do. Though just realise nimble would work quite well with Umbra.

Honestly I was genuinely surprised with the content we got, the linear content format fit so well with the division 2

It does suck for this new team trying to bridge gaps because they do seem like they’re making the right decisions with the division….i only hope Div 3 is its own story created from start to finish by this group. I think division has lacked greatly in character development and clear storylines… I hope they continue to approach story telling their own way in the future

I think the Eclipse Virus is much more powerful than the green poison.

I had a blast playing this they could have charged more if they wanted

She wants the nukes but didn't get them because of Lua so now kalso has the the president's clone key so she might be trying to make a more eclipse virse and use the holo tech we seen with the guy pretending to be keener so maybe she going old school and faking what the division and it's friends to break them sense they are needing each other

So far we still dont know much beside the Black Tusk are testing stuff out of state for something big
