The mix was great, but Freddie's energy, confidence, and talent is why this was the best. And yes, Quee n with all the members were a perfect fit, it was perfect
ОтветитьI've always been a huge fan of Queen and their performance blue me away!
ОтветитьWhy didn’t he just play what Freddie mercury said on the interview than just read it off script.
ОтветитьPeter who? Great vid but i dont think a peter played in Queen. Maybe im wrong.
ОтветитьThanks Movie voiceover Leonardo Di Caprio
ОтветитьWe don't think about Queen. We feel it. With all five of our senses.
ОтветитьI think its wonderful that people today are not only watching it but having their minds blown about how queen owned the crowd.
ОтветитьShame it was all for nothing…
I had a 45 years old lodger from Ethiopia when Bono did his Live Aid track for Ebola.
She asked me what it was for. I showed her the Live Aid from the 80’s and how it was for the AIDS pandemic in Ethiopia.
She had HIV after being raped as a child and never saw or received any assistance from Live Aid.
Never heard of it at all…
When Freddy died, I felt incredible sad, knowing that this was the end of Queen, arguably one of the best pop groups ever, but Queen left us a fantastic musical legacy and I still love to listen to their music even today and I can't see that ever-changing.
Ответить"Freddie's genius wasn't fully appreciated during his lifetime"
that's far from being true, when he died everybody was on shock, even people who only knew a couple of songs.
Loads o´ Cocaine!!!
ОтветитьAhaha he told everyone that everyone else was already planning to be there!! For such a wonderful cause!! The world needs another one of these events to support those still starving in the world
ОтветитьNah metallic in Russia
ОтветитьWho is the greatest frontman of all time?
Short goddamn list.
Dude may very well top it.
There was no LGBT movement at that time.
ОтветитьDid Pepsi make more money than the starving African people out of this concert? Sugary drink executives need cash too…
ОтветитьPerfect? 😆🤣😂😆🤣😂😆🤣😂😆🤣😂😆🤣😂 hardly. Just another band that played there, that’s all.
ОтветитьSteve perry > Freddie mercury.
ОтветитьSadly, 90% percent was laundered to corrupt governments.
ОтветитьI saw Queen in the Apollo in Glasgow 1980 ? and it was wonderful, superb!!! and later for Live aid.
ОтветитьYou're correct: simply the best, better than all the rest!
ОтветитьIt’s still the greatest concert! It could never be done today b-c all these so called musicians have too big an ego! Live Aid was an amazing time to be alive. There’s never been anything like it since!!
ОтветитьI was in cosmetology school when this aired. I remember watching it from there. So amazing
Ответитьskills + cocaine
ОтветитьThey drove the Money raised through the roof with their 22 minutes on stage. The phone banks had to go into overdrive to handle the volume of calls. This was Pre-Modern no Internet with checks being made out and mailed in to honor the promise made on the phone.
ОтветитьAnother contributing factor as to why Queen's performance stood out so much is that Keith Moon had passed a few years prior.
ОтветитьI was 22 when Live Aid played. I would have loved attending, as a fan in America. Some artists love when the audience sings parts of it with them, and Freddie Mercury, Elton John, John Denver, and Colin Raye do that, holding the mic towards the audience and loving it.
ОтветитьYou forgot Bee Gees
ОтветитьAccording to the movie queen was a last minute add on to the concert
ОтветитьFreddie is a legend!!!!!
ОтветитьQueen was the King!
ОтветитьShouldnt it be "how" not "why"?
ОтветитьBillions later and it’s still a hellhole
ОтветитьQueen was the best bad at live aids
ОтветитьThey increased the volume way up what was supposed to ....it was great....first achord and backstage was like....WTF?😂
ОтветитьWell think about it, it was not vocally perfect at all, check the original recordings not the doctored ones.
ОтветитьThat performance was epic! I watch it over & over but it never gets old 🎉🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьThey were the best because
A. They rehearsed
B. They timed it perfectly
C. They had Freddie Mercury
I was a junior in high school and remember this AIDS concert, including Elton at Princess Dianna's funeral. I wish we still lived in this time except for not knowing what gay was because I know I sure didn't.
Ответить“Numerous covers from artists…”
Proceeds to show a song performed during a tribute after Freddie’s death.
Has nothing to do with covering.
Most of us who saw Queens performance live were surprised and confused, because for some reason they were not listed to perform.
ОтветитьThe best without doubt.
ОтветитьI never liked Queens music except Bohemean Rapsody.Freddy simply walks back and fourth on stage swinging a part of a mike stand around .I dont see anything great about any of it.I barely know anything about them because Ive never been interested enough in them to waste my time on them.I am very interested however in Freddies story
ОтветитьWatched the whole gig with my girlfriend on the telly, joined the RAF a month later, life changing show!
ОтветитьIn case anyone is curious, I am going to list each act on the Wembley poster and the top ten hits they had made in the UK until the day of live Aid, this is talking about singles, not counting albums. (Paul McCartney did not appear on the poster, but you can imagine that with the Beatles, his solo career and wings, he is the bigger)

Phil Collins: 10 (5 with genesis and 5 as a soloist)

They had the best sound because their manager snuck backstage and pumped up the volume on the mixing board!
ОтветитьGreat band. Awesome performance at Live Aid!
