DO NOT TRY! I tried it and it attracted way more mosquitoes. Now they are inside of my home biting me and my family all the time. I don't know what to do at this point.

Hello from the free state of Texas, USA. In scientific US Army field tests, the only thing that actually works is DEET a brand of the chemical diethyltoluamide, a colorless oily liquid with a mild odor, used as an insect repellent by world militaries and hunters/campers in the field.

Okay, this is simple enough. But if it just deflects them & doesn't KILL them, then you're just chasing them away from one room in your home, and into another room. Haven't really solved the problem.
And does this stain walls?

I want to say that during my Discovery yesterday, that Nutmeg almost has the same affect!!!
Also try Star Anise and/orCloves, & Allspice!

Tried this out and sprayed it on a window where tons of dung flies were gathered. (I have gotten an infestation of them since I have a rabbit indoors)
Doesn't work at all unfortunately, unless this only works for certain flies and mosquitoes. In fact they now seem to gather around the droplets left from the spray.

Unfortunately I read cinnamon can cause allergic reaction to cats. Not sure if water helps dilute the effect, but I can't take the chance. I hate flies!
