New 2023 Honda CR-V - Next Generation Compact Crossover SUV | #shorts

Honda has taken the wraps off its latest-generation CR-V in the US market.Now in its sixth generation, the new CR-V features a rugged yet sophisticated design, along with a new and more advanced hybrid electric system over the outgoing model. The 2023 CR-V hits the US market this summer, with the Hybrid model launching later in the year.

The new-gen Honda CR-V now comes with a more mature design language with a sleeker set of LED headlights up front, a larger hexagonal grille with chrome elements at the bottom, and Volvo-inspired LED tail lights at the rear. The SUV runs on 18-inch wheels as standard.

The new-gen CR-V is larger compared to the previous iteration. It is now almost 69 mm longer and has a 40 mm larger wheelbase than the outgoing model.

Inside, the 2023 Honda CR-V carries forward design elements from the new-gen Civic sedan. The CR-V comes with either an all-black or dual-tone cabin finish, depending on the variant. It also comes packed with features such as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a bunch of other features and tech.

The CR-V Hybrid models will be positioned as the top of the lineup, and Honda claims they will represent about 50% of sales for the new model. Honda is offering the 2023 CR-V in four trim levels, namely EX, EX-L, Sport and Sport Touring. The former two are being offered with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 190 hp of power and 243 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, the Sport and Sport Touring trims,make use of a 2.0-litre four cylinder turbo-petrol engine with a two-motor hybrid system. The combined power and torque output are rated at 204 hp and 335 Nm respectively. Honda is also offering an all-wheel drive configuration with Intelligent Control System as an option on all grades, and standard on the top-end Sport Touring.

The Honda CR-V faces rivals such as the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape in the international markets.Honda didn’t yet provide the price information for the 2023 CR-V crossover SUV
