AceTones create an atmosphere to lure even the most unsuspecting listener onto the dancefloor. Paying tribute to the greats, this four-piece instrumental band draws inspiration from founders of the styles such as Skatalites, The Upsetters, Jackie Mittoo, Sly and Robbie and more.
Members of AceTones have a long standing love affair with Jamaican music and its offshoots. Having cut their teeth in the NZ ska and reggae scene performing in bands such as Skatilator, The Managers, Roofdog, Skaface Claw, Earthtone Rockers, and Moisty Atsushi's Rocksteady Allstars, the band members combine a wealth of experience with a fresh and unique approach.
