What type of Roman columns were out front? I was hoping to see if they were Corinthian, Ionic or Doric. You missed ALOT of architectural details on the inside.
ОтветитьI didn't care much fot it i wsnted to see the house in its original form
ОтветитьArchitecturally, there's nothing left on the interior from the original period. So sad. Those god awful tiles in the ceiling. Too bad they stripped what likely would have been an amazing plaster embelished ceiling likely with a rosette where the chandelier would have been. Cornices along the ceiling edges, and so much more stripped and made ugly beyond belief.
ОтветитьSo, it hasn’t entered anyone’s mind that all of those dresses are stolen and being stored there so the thieves aren’t caught with stolen property in their own homes? Why on earth else would a decaying abandoned house have hundreds of thousands of dollars of new clothes there and still in packaging?
ОтветитьCool House. Great Video. However, I must let you know that a building is dilapiDated, not diliapiTaded. Somehow, even the most educated of people mispronounce this word.
ОтветитьThis is in North AL off hwy 101.
ОтветитьBeautiful piece of history from a simpler place in time . Ignore the negative comments.
ОтветитьAm I the only one that doesn’t see the beauty in this home? All I see & feel is heavy sorrow for the slaves that were murdered/tortured 😢
ОтветитьAt least metal detect 😮
ОтветитьOmg! Hideous taste in color, the dark blue is awful!
Ответитьomg all the paint/colors were so horrific, this place couldve been so much prettier and elegant w just some simple classy paint jobs. This place has such a weird vibe and the slavery just adds to it, the stick light, the hundreds of lady bugs, metal sheets above the fire place, someone living there and NOT removing the slavery things/shackles in their basement, so many things just dont make sense lol.
edit: got the the second house and holy cow its even weirder! The prices on the clothes dont make sense at all, like theres no way in hell those dresses were 18,000 dollars and that cottonade set came from paris but none of their stuff was that expensive. Im almost wondering if a hoarder lived there and was planning to sell all those with jacked up prices or something. great finds!
I liked my own comment
ОтветитьRed is Supposed 2 Make You Hungry. IDK if it's True
ОтветитьTrespassers
ОтветитьToo much talking .
ОтветитьIt’s criminal that all those clothes and ball gowns are going to decay away . Surely a film company would be able to make use of them in wardrobe ?????. Does any of this stuff ever get rescued.??? It’s unbelievable. Do you ever pass information along BigBankz???? What a waste of valuable , reusable commodities????? I am incandescent .
ОтветитьWhy would they paint that beautiful historic house with such ugly colors ??
ОтветитьI am 50 seconds in. And I have to say that I am very much enjoying the shots. Whenever I watch one of these I like to watch it with some graph paper at my side. And I like to try to sketch out what the house looks like inside and out. Right now I could draw the outside with near perfection.
Now we'll see what I feel like about the shots when you walk through the house. Cuz too many people just do not give a step-by-step, cohesive view of the inside rooms. That leaves me to guess where exactly the hearth room is. I look forward to leaving a review on that!
Lol love what Justin did.
ОтветитьI wish you had shown more of the wrighting on the graves thats really what i was wanting to see i love old graveyards!!
I wouldve live to have seen bith places in their hayday especially the second one! Who ever reoainted that first one needs to be horse whipped cause thats is just hideous!!
And for all these ppl in the cimments downing them for calli g these places beautiful because of the slavery, its not the house or lands fault the owners were pieces if sh*t!! Thats like blaming the victim for being raped!! It had nothing to do with the house its self so get over it!!
Cool. But that was a veggie bin...potato storage not laundry. Likely a summer kitchen. And they are Asian beetles not lady bugs.
ОтветитьCan u take more shots of the doors and door hardware? especially the hardware in front doors? They are often original to the house. I’m s one of the clues to date of construction. Thank you.
ОтветитьPutting ur hands over the lens is a very cliche thing to do. Find something original to do.
ОтветитьRuined interior. Horrible paint job. But the front of the house worthy of Restoration. Beautiful Greek Revival. Beautiful. Thanks. But u keep saying “beautiful “ house! Not the inside! Been trashed and gawdy colors. Might have been construction in the 1870s, 1930s and ya, 10yeats ago. Euch.
ОтветитьMy ancestors told me to advise you to leave before dark and don’t come back….
ОтветитьIt was very painful to watch this video. I cannot stand to see what people have done to these once beautiful Civil War homes. There should be a law against it. These homes should be restored to look like they once looked, NOT try to modernize them!! The colors in the first home were HIDEOUS and obviously was occupied by people who had NO idea what they were doing. WHAT A SHAME!!
ОтветитьI appreciate Southern history, even though a lot of people are trying their best to erase it. I'm not one of them but, in this case, I think this place should be put to the torch...
ОтветитьThe down stairs was the old kitchen and the wine cellar and what everyone called the dungeon with a dirt floor and yes, shackles on the walls. Great root cellar
ОтветитьYou didn’t check out inside the small doors. Hugh beams. The “slave houses” were homes for the farm workers
ОтветитьThe middle section and the room upstairs through the brown room were redone. Yep, we could tell you stories. 😢😢😢
ОтветитьIt was a Thomas Jefferson blueprint.
ОтветитьJapanese beetles
ОтветитьThis house has been painted since we lived in it. Walls have been put up. The chandelier in living room is changed.
ОтветитьWe lived in this house when our children were little.
ОтветитьIf I was rich, I’d renovate that mansion and build myself a beautiful Victorian style greenhouse and have the most amazing gardens. 😮❤
ОтветитьThis is such a beautiful house. Imagine how it would look if it was fully restored.
ОтветитьWhoever lived there, painted it some tacky colors lol
ОтветитьThey are not lady bugs, they are an asian Beatle. They suck. They come inside your house for the winter.
ОтветитьWhere is this house?
ОтветитьVery cool! Haunted? :-) Well, no. But it is amazing!
ОтветитьIf that second house was not so decayed I would totally repair it and make it a store it’s so pretty and all those clothes are crazy!
ОтветитьThere is a lot of people doing videos of abandones places but i love the way you narrate all the videos keep up the good work love all your videos
Ответитьsaw a satellite dish
Ответить😅😮😮😢. 😊😊😅😅😊😮😮 😅😢😢🎉❤😅😢🎉❤
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful house sitting on a gorgeous piece of land. Hoping it gets fully restored soon.
Ответитьcreepy house
ОтветитьThe room with the black fireplace is a gentleman's room
ОтветитьYou sound simple saying she a professional caver..yea well that's an abandoned house falling in big damn difference
