Awsome channel and work, especially since it is made from the heart and a serious and respectful interest. Seirously, big kudos to you. Muchas gracias
ОтветитьI have actually visited the purepecha platform in Michoacan. I never realized or thought about its sheer size since my family was kind of on a rush to visit Janitzio. it’s an impressive monument and I was able to get a good picture of Lake Patzcuaro. Michoacán is a beautiful gem.
ОтветитьMy mother comes from the p’urhepecha town of Nurio. It’s very unfortunate that now in modern days the town barely speaks the native language and the parents have done a terrible job because they didn’t teach the language to the new generation. All you see now is crackheads and drunks and boy can they party until their knickers fall off! 😩
ОтветитьI needed this thanks!
ОтветитьMy parents are from a small town in michoacan called tupatarillo. They tell me that in the woods of our town they would dig up dozens of skulls and pots and that the skulls would like disintereste when they touched the air after being burried for so long. They would find obsidian blades aswell. Next time i visit im going digging. Also they say that where gold and silver is burried. Fire comes out of the ground and if you dig it up you die days later they assume from the gases that some how the gold produces? Not really convinced on that but they know people who have dug up the gold and have died .
Ответитьthat blood in me
ОтветитьIt’s actually spelled like this- Puréhpecha
ОтветитьSorry for my english. Thank you so much for take the time and share us your great investigation. I'm P'urhépecha. I know, is very coplicated to get written information.
ОтветитьThank you for your great content, for me as a European (even tho this isn’t the topic of this video) I didn’t knew that there was some great cultures and architecture in North America, very interesting!
ОтветитьPlease keep making videos. I love learning about Mesoamerica 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
ОтветитьThrilled to see more historians & journalists learning & sharing information about the Purepecha people. It’s wonderful having the opportunity to learn more about the history & culture of this community!

ОтветитьI'm not understanding why "Tarascan" is insulting for them really. Even if it is, how is labeling your tribe as "commoners" less offensive? Imagine if the Italians had a similar history and naming themselves plebeians.
ОтветитьThe Azteca were ver wary and somewhat afraid of the Purépecha warriors as they may have been the few tribes that was not conquered by Azteca expansion.
ОтветитьI started watching this, but when I heard some white guy... NOPE! Its Purépecha, with accent on the first e... not on the second one! Next time you want to do something, please use people that can really identify with the culture and the traditions! As a person with Purépecha, this is a blasphemy!
ОтветитьIt doesn't mean commoner... But anyways, as soon as I hear a European start to speak I know it's going to be a bunch of lies. Never let the enemy tell your stories.
ОтветитьChichimeca is a group of tribes and aztecs are also chichimecas, people dont understand that.
ОтветитьVery good job. Thank you for your input .
It's a great honor to know that finally the Purepechas are gaining the respect that they deserve..
Im proud to be from Michoacán and it's a pleasure to hear your publication
Thank you 🙏🏻
ОтветитьThe Purépecha Kindom was the only one wich the Aztec Empire couldn't conquered in Mesoamerica... Aztec population was around 20 million people 😮
ОтветитьAs the grandchild of a Purepecha born in Cheran, I'm so proud of my history.
ОтветитьNice video but it would be less annoying if the narrator actually practiced pronouncing Purhépecha before recording. The h is silent and the accented é is there for a reason! Pur-RAY-pay-cha in gringo pronunciation 😂
ОтветитьThank you for this videos
ОтветитьLong Live The Taracuari people 💯🪶🪶🪶 Tarascan Pure'pecha bloodline from Morelia to Tierra caliente Michoacan Mexico....
ОтветитьMy great grand parents are from that area...I'm proud to say my ancestors kicked Aztec rear.
ОтветитьSeveral people think that because they have family in michuacan or were born there that they are purpeche. Truth is majority migrated to michuacan over time. The tarascans themselves came from south America many many years ago. They do not really teach others the native language they speak. If your from michuacan and are educated you would know these things. By dad had native tarascan friends and they never talked to others about the culture they have. Most of what they do "teach" is nahuatl. I read a comment on here and the language he tried righting down that ment hello how are you or whatever they said is a nahutl dialect. They do not teach outsiders their own language but a nahuatl dialect. My family has bin in michuacan for many years even they migrated there many many years ago.
ОтветитьSo on a scale of 1 to 10, how cannibalistic was this tribe compared to every single tribe in the New World, Africa, and the South Pacific, with 1 being that they ate people once a week and 10 being once an hour?
Ответитьare the people from acambaro gto purepecha?
ОтветитьWow this was very informative.. Not quite the history I thought happened in Mexico. You have really some homework on this region

ОтветитьMi esposo es Purépecha. Es de Huetamo de Núñez, Michoacán. Se desapareció hace muchos años. 😢 My husband is, was from Huetamo de Núñez. He has disappeared. He spoke dialect. He was the love of my life. I cried for 3 days after hearing he wasn't to be found. I feel nothing anymore. I had to move on with my life. 😢

ОтветитьTzintzuntzan was a very defendable area
ОтветитьI read the Aztecs let this kingdom live on purpose so they can have a steady source of human cattle for sacrifice. They could have easily launched a full scale campaign and taken all of it if they wanted…from what i read..
