Requesting Lost in Space 1998
ОтветитьIf the war boys heaven is McDonald's that means that Burger King is their hell
ОтветитьMax is The Littlest Hobo, confirmed.
ОтветитьI mean the mad max series is set in Australia the first film was filmed in Victoria in Melbourne and near Geelong which is only like 45-50 minutes away from each other but anyway in Australia we have a hole in the Ozone layer so the sun is pretty bad here but in the mad max universe it would be much much worse
ОтветитьTop 10 movie in my view honestly
ОтветитьCan we suggest movies here? The Last Dragon, 1985.
ОтветитьLegends know that this is reuploaded
Ответитьmy favourite thing about this movie is that it's aggressively anti capitalist, aggressively feminist, aggressively anti toxic masculinity, and it snuck all those themes by in the baddest ass action movie of the last two decades (imo). fucking fantastic lol
ОтветитьWhen is Beyond Thunderdome happening
Ответитьso happy we are getting the same video again
Ответить... wait~ 8 hours? I swore i ended up watching this yesterday.
ОтветитьFun fact a lot of sand is really red in Australia
ОтветитьThe colour grading is to match Australia. It's actually orange.
ОтветитьI'll say it again and again - Immortan Joe is the best post-apocalypse cinema villain. Access to clean water. Farms and hydroponics and "mothers' milk" - focused on nutrition. Cult religion to assert leadership. Breeding program to eliminate "half life" children. Like, insane and evil, but the details of it all are so rich, and I appreciate the rich world building so much more for the lack of exposition. Just hints and flashes of the world and respect for the audience to figure it out.
ОтветитьThis movie was amazing, but I won't lie and say I was a bit disappointed when you said your next video would be more "corvidy" and I expected you to fiiiinally do EGA The Crow
ОтветитьI had no idea the guy who played Toecutter in the original Mad Max played Immortan Joe! That's pretty cool. I did a double take when CinemaWins joked that Toecutter survived to become Joe because I knew the lore and was like, "Uh, no" lol.
ОтветитьYou should do sing street(please)
ОтветитьStructurally, Max is the POV character. Furiosa is arguably the protagonist. She turns the acts.
ОтветитьThe custom tank isn't THAT custom - it's a standard Ripsaw tank from Howe and Howe, with a car shell stuck on top. They tried to shop them around to virtually every military and government agency that would listen, nobody wanted it, so they shopped it around to Hollywood, who use it occasionally. In fact, the Ripsaw used in this film is seen being tested and built in the Howe and Howe reality show on discovery(where it was unreliable as hell and could barely drive), before it was shipped off to Australia(the original filming location) where it broke constantly and they discovered massive build quality issues, before it was fixed, shipped to Namibia, where it was fixed again(and still grossly unreliable), and it was then destroyed after filming was completed. The mechanics, apparently, were not terribly sad about that, they hated the thing.
ОтветитьThe sand is that colour in large parts of Australia.
ОтветитьThe guy who played Toecutter in the first movie played Immortan Joe
ОтветитьThis is action cinema.
ОтветитьWatching this and seeing all the setups that Furiosa retroactively put in place makes the movie so much better. I honestly can't wait to double feature the two.
Ответить“Fang it” would be more like “send it/run it” rather than floor it, doesn’t apply to just cars but everything
ОтветитьThe war rig is my favourite character
ОтветитьPlease do godzilla minus one
Ответитьgood job on the "Fang It" guess. "feed it" also works in the same context
ОтветитьI’m so excited for dune part 2!!!
ОтветитьIsn't this a reupload?
ОтветитьFuriosa means mad in Portuguese. PS, the chrome spray is also a narcotic that makes the war boys feel euphoric as they go to die.
ОтветитьThe Australian outback is red, as its so rich in iron the dirt is coloured like rust.
ОтветитьNot sure why the reupload together... but I'm not complaining and it's going to add at least another couple views from me on top of the probably 10 times I've seen the original videos. Keep up the good work. Also Amazing videos, and this is an amazing movie.
ОтветитьSaw Furiosa today, not as good as this one, but still pretty solid. Chris Hemsworth was the stand out, played a great villain.
Ответитьdummy you already did this movie 👎👎
ОтветитьThis movie for sure is in my top 3 movies of all time
ОтветитьAngharad's death is Max's fault? Really?
They could not wrap her wound with all that cloth that they were wearing? Stop blaming men for women's stupidity. She died because she was stupid. Period.
Is this a Re-upload? I could have sworn he already did this movie.
Ответитьthe 'cloth' around the exhaust is heat tape, it serves a few purposes but are used in many instances in real life that don't involve insulation so you can hold them.
ОтветитьTo add to the 'Max is an immortal' headcanon:
Aside from Max being canonically far older than anyone in the film and surviving what nobody should consider this: Nux at the beginning of the film is so weak, he is almost dead on his feet. He needs to be hooked up to his bloodbag just to stand. And yet, one transfusion with Max later, and he's completely able-bodied for the rest of the movie, also surviving some pretty crazy shit. Again at the end with Furiosa: she's on death's door before the transfusion. Then, she is able to stand with Max's help on the hood. And yet when they are being lifted up mere moments later she is standing on her own with no apparent weakness. Almost as if getting a transfusion from an immortal makes people significantly stronger, even if not immortal themselves.
Then there is just the 'vibe'. Max behaving as though he's almost lost the ability to speak or create language, very much gives 'immortal who has been around for too long' before reconnecting to the human race. Which is much less empirical but hey. It's Fury Road. We're all about vibes here.
Well, coming back from having watched furiosa, I’m so glad to see this. Furiosa, while decent, was quite disappointing.
ОтветитьI'm sorry but I still think Road Warrior is a better movie. Even when he's not trying, Mel Gibson is a much better actor than Tom Hardy
ОтветитьHappy to watch a part 1 and part 2 combined for one of the best movies and one of your funniest commentaries!!
ОтветитьWhen Furiosa says “remember me” to Joe I always thought it was an odd question to ask before killing him. Obviously he remembers her. But it’s not a question… it’s a statement in the same sense as warboys saying “witness”. She’s using his own dogmatic philosophy against him by telling him to remember her in the afterlife, as the only people who witnessed his death are Furiosa and one of his wives. And neither give a single F about him
ОтветитьI hate this "double-dipping".
ОтветитьFor those wondering about the timeline and Max's age not adding up, as Fury Road takes place about 15 years after Thunderdome. Fury Road's Max is the feral child from Road Warrior. In the end of Road Warrior OG Max doesn't have his Interceptor (the tribe has it), nor does he have it in the beginning of Thunderdome. OG Max gives the child a music box -> Fury Road Max has a music box. OG Max used to be a cop and was trained with firearms, Fury Road Max is adept at best as CW acknowledges as well. Also! Muzzle -> "Raging Feral"
ОтветитьI will always subscribe to the theory that any of the Mad Max Media we see is how the people involved remember him. We get to see the myth of Mad Max, the Road Warrior, as experienced by people like the Feral Child and Furiosa. (And the parts they weren't there for are likely "artistic license" or filled in by others)
ОтветитьI think that by the point of Road Warrior, Max become more a mythical figure than a real person, he really not want to get involve in conflicts in this wasteland, but it seems that fate not giving many options.
