Hi! I just had to leave you a note and say thank you! You see, I sent away for some sample paints and paper a few weeks ago and today was the first time I picked up a brush as an adult. After playing around with several tutorials for a few hours I can honestly say most of what I created is pathetic - except for these dragonflies! Now in no way do they look like yours but they are not absolutely awful! 😂 THANK YOU! You are definitely an inspiration!
ОтветитьHahaha!, “he’s a man, so he’s messy”! Love it!
ОтветитьHahaha “She’s long gone”!
ОтветитьBeautiful. Thank you.
ОтветитьAbsolutely love your style and sense of humour!
An accidently look at your silly birds, got me laughing and starting again after a 20 year break from drawing and painting. What a joy!
Why don't you like "messy".... messy is the starting of all good art peaces 😉
Ответить"I'm going to recalibrate myself." "You never know how it's going to turn out." "See what happens and go with the flow." Best 38 minutes I've spent in some time!
ОтветитьIt still feels like December where I live .This subject matter helps me look forward to warmer weather.
ОтветитьI so excited to follow along this evening and paint this on my very first page of my brand new watercolor journal!❤
ОтветитьToday is 3*13*23
ОтветитьI just found your channel, I think you are just as good as dean.
ОтветитьI loved how you grounded yourself just before you started painting.
ОтветитьThankyou so much, I've really enjoyed painting these x
ОтветитьWe have dragonflies swarming here due to floods and apparently the perfect weather conditions for them
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьI am enjoying your videos today 😊, thanks for your work it’s beautiful and relaxing
ОтветитьI just discovered your channel and I love your work!! I actually painted a dragonfly that was recognizable. Thank you!!!
ОтветитьIt's August in USA North Carolina. Been extremely hot and dry. The dragonflies have started farting around. I've enjoyed watching you paint them. Love the loose effect. Thanks!
ОтветитьThanks for this great video. I gave it a go today, twice, and noticed something interesting. When I applied the watercolour pencil to the wet edges of whatever I was applying it to, the wet paint did a quite vigorous dash away from the pencil. As if it shuddered in horror! It greatly affected where the paint ended up which was not entirely where I had intended. It was quite interesting to watch. On another note, as you mention in the video, it's surprising how little paint one needs to do this. I quite like the technique and will continue to practice it. Thanks again for the inspiration and instruction.
Ответить🧡🧡👍👍👀👀8/4/22
ОтветитьThank you 😊 I appreciate your tips
ОтветитьJust started painting 'A Bird a Day' and have moved onto your nature studies. I am finding my style is becoming looser and am enjoying this journey very much. Thank you very much for sharing your skill with us.
ОтветитьGorgeous.
Ответитьi just love the loose feel of your paintings
ОтветитьLooking forward to giving this a try.
ОтветитьWow... !!! My best friend, Loved this video. Looking forward to see more. Awesome... Full watched.
ОтветитьTalking about palettes, I am trying something that I haven’t seen before: ceramic olive or appetizer plates. Mine are 14 inches long by 4 inches wide. I use your little round ceramic dishes to put my paint blob (elegant word) on and then use the long skinny dishes for mixing. I have two uses which I really love them for: 1. For a small or limited pallet painting, I can mix all of the colors on one plate, and it helps me keep the colors for that piece in one place until I am sure no further changes are needed, or 2: For single or two or three etc. color mixes you can put one color on each end and middle etc. and then make different blends as you move down the plate. Of course I save the different colored ones for quite a while and can use on multiple paintings. Just my way that I thought that I would share! Thank you for your wonderful teaching!!
ОтветитьI LOVE these!! Thank you!💕
ОтветитьLove the meaning behind the dragon fly…after two weeks of Covid I’m am finally hopeful that I will start feeling more myself again 💕😊
Ответитьfor someone who has not an ounce of art in her blood, I did pretty well at this. Thanks so much for sharing
ОтветитьSoaking in all your artistic knowledge…it’s wonderful to see and hear you create❣️ I ‘m in a bit of a quandary with paper too. I might settle for mixed media since I like to sketch and use micron pens… . “He’s a man so he’s really messy” 😳😆 You’re gonna fall asleep? 😂 You are hilarious today! Thank you for letting us know how not to be messy but really there’s no getting away from it 🤷🏻♀️that’s the fun of it not specially cleaning up 😉 🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽Mia
ОтветитьHi Diane! Just found your channel, I know, where have I been! Love your style❤❤ I subscribed right away so I wouldn't miss any of your tutorials. Thank you!!
ОтветитьI love the dragonflies and watching you painting them. However, there are far too many advertisements in this video. It is annoying. I may quit following you because of that.
ОтветитьVery beautiful 😍 🇪🇪🥰😋💗💓💞❤💛👋✌️👌🤘👍🏿.
ОтветитьPerfect! Thank you.
ОтветитьHello Diane! I just found your vlogs and I'm enjoying them. I haven't painted in a few months but you have inspired me to make time for it. I'm in West Michigan, USA. May 5, '22. 🌸🌷🌺

ОтветитьBeautiful 💕
ОтветитьVery pretty.
ОтветитьLove these! You've made them look so transparent! Very relaxing video. Thank you 🤗
ОтветитьI love your videos and art tutorials! Your personality is exceptional as well. I feel like I know you and always find myself wishing I could stop by your place for a visit! You would most certainly be welcome here! I would love to see a tour of your studio! I love the way you dig things out to show us, and the noises you make doing it! I love your opinions too! Have you ever tried an ELEGANT WRITER? It’s a black felt tip pen from speedball art. When you add water there are surprising colours in the ink! I think I will try it for dragonflies! Any way, God Bless you in all you do this coming year! Thank you so much for all you give to our lives!
ОтветитьThank you for this really beautiful painting. Dragonflies are so delightful to watch and now to paint!
ОтветитьIt's always a joy and so inspirational to watch your videos. Love the delicious prints from today, I would not have thought of these color combinations. You've opened my eyes again. Thank you
