Ill put it this way. Im able to read and understand code but not write it. GPT helps me write fucntional code whereas i used to have to hire firends to help me. So ... Its just kinda augmented my lack of ability and filled in some holes. And its also worth it to mention im just writing stuff for my hobby projects and for that i think it is excellent. For commercial? idk you still need someone more skilled than me to write goood code.

As noted in the video, the key function of a developer is to solve problems.
The only part that might be threatened by AI is coding. However, coding is a small part of the job of a developer. And the most boring IMHO. If AI can handle the coding, I see that as a benefit to developers. That will leave more time for finding the solutions.

Off Topic, but guys I need help, should I study the Mathematics For Computer science playlist by MIT, my undergraduate program didn't teach me math, as they used Covid as an excuse. What should I do, help/answer would be appreciated.

would not replace engineers........yet, dont think as an employee, think as a buisness owner, if i can get the same results, by more less than half the price i.e instead of hiring 4-5 coders to build a game, i hire 1, that knows how to code in 1 specific language but also knows ai to get the rest of the job done....thwts way big tech comps invested in AI in the first place, so they would be able to hire less ppl, pay less salaries, and get exponential results...soooo not yet

I hope it gets rid of all the jobs so that we can have higher goals.

High level programming has been around for the last 28 years so there's plenty ppl with 10-15-20 years of experience. For the next 10 years you will have enough work if you got experience already and you will be fine, but if you start learning to code right now knowing this you are a dummy.
