Hi Erin, now that fall is getting closer can you do a video about how to wear booties (like chelsea boots) with the straight or wider leg jeans/trousers that are in style now a days? I can wear them with sandals but I'm lost as to how to wear them with ankle boots... Which inseam length is best, etc
I'm so used to skinny jeans... Having a hard time letting go especially in the cooler months because of the above reason. And I feel that with wider leg there's a gap between the pants and my legs where the brutal MN cold wind gets in and freezes me. This doesn't happen with skinny pants. So I take warmth over style. I need guidance on how to use these wider pants.

It would be helpful to increase the ratio of images of the items you’re discussing to shots of you talking into the camera. You are lovely to look at, but the focus should be more on what you’re talking about.

All great suggestions Erin. I have a question, do you find there’s anything superior quality wise, wearability wise, with the Golden Goose sneakers, over, say, a pair of Nikes, for example? I’m not trying to be rude, I’m genuinely curious. They run just slightly less than the Louis Vuitton sneakers I bought, but of course, I admit I got those thinking they look classy. Now I can honestly say I regret that purchase. They’re so…. “Logo”-y. 😅 I do have a few pairs of Converse, Nike and Vans I tend to reach for the most. Actually, over any designer shoe, I think, because we want to keep that edge a little, and cool girl style to me can’t be achieved with head to toe designer- so, say converse or Nike with Levi’s & a designer blazer or leather jacket. Erin your videos are super informative. You provide wonderful style tips. your choice of picks are the highest grade designer ultra pricey. for the average women not sure if everyone can take the hefty price tag for a pair of sneakers or jeans.

Only recently have I been realizing it’s ok to invest in quality pieces that last, rather than get cheap pieces. It’s taken me awhile to accept this because I’m not a big spender by nature. However I’ve found that I can try things on at Dillards, figure out what I like, and then wait for them to be fazed out online the next season. It’s hit or miss sometimes if you wait that long, but I’ve got some great deals on pieces that I’m sure I’ll enjoy for years.

All hail the SOCK BOOTIE! I‘ve a pair of Stuart Weitzman Prancer booties in black suede that I‘ve had for over 10 years and I continue to wear and love them. I think key to having timeless pieces is investing the time and relatively minor money to look after them. The suede brush for my beloved booties is my friend!!

I agree completely regarding jewelry! I used to buy cheap jewelry, and aside from it not looking good, it literally can last just a few months. Especially because I travel a lot for work, that jewelry doesn’t hold up. Excited to look at some of these pieces on her website.

The sock bootie is the only one I do not have, simply because I could no longer wear heels.

Always always check the materials even with designer brands. Just because it’s expensive doesn’t mean it’s made with real leather etc. There are videos from Tanner man on YT where he buys designers bags and tips them apart to see what they are really worth. A lot aren’t the high end materials one would think!

I can't even say how much costume jewelry I have. Jewelry boxes full. Big statement necklaces etc. Lots of color and big dangling earrings. Lots of cheap colorful scarves and shoes I've never worn. So much excess. Nothing in my closet would be considered good quality. That was my fashion style for 60 years. Quantity over quality. In the past year or so, I've been trying to find my new style and can have a closet where everything fits me and I love. Now retired. 62. Menopausal weight gain. Living in Florida so its hot. A big change from my life in Maine. No longer working in a law firm and dressing up every day. I find myself gravitating to videos like this with classics and scaled down wardrobes and capsule wardrobes which was totally not me lol. It's going to take awhile but I'm going to begin the process of buying quality basics and reinventing me for life now in my 60s. I can't give up color but definitely need to focus on quality instead of fast fashion. And no more polyester! 😅 Really need to buy cotton and linen and silk living here. I've got alot of work to do!
